I really want to like the FL! I think there's a lot to discover in future episodes, I'm still in episode 10. I'll keep watching it and I'll be back here to comment about those episodes for sure.

I felt the same way you described! But the visuals are really beautiful and the demon lead is absolutely gorgeous and funny, so I'll keep watching it and let myself go.

I think we have different concepts of what "slow paced" is. IMO, the drama is not like that. In just 10 episodes, a lot has already happened, the story moves quite quickly. I found the plot of the brother and his obsession not very good. Regarding the focus on the story and not on the performances, I respectfully disagree. There are too many long close-ups and few expressions being shown by some characters. But it's just a personal opinion, I'm happy that I can give my opinion here. This space is for that, right?

I'm on episode 10 and it's getting a bit tiring. The plot between Pai Sijing and her brother wasn't very good, it made me sleepy. I don't like FL, I have to admit. I could say she's expressionless, but I think many of the cast are too. I think they're too worried about looking beautiful in the picture (and they really are, the cast is beautiful) than actually acting. If it weren't for ZYZ being so charismatic, I think I would have already given up on this drama. I'm going to watch a few more episodes and if it keeps going like this, I think I'll give up.

I understand what you're saying, I already imagined that. I wonder what Ashile Sun was talking about in episode 18, when he was in the forest with Changge. He says that when he was a child his father idolized him, but something changed later. What changed? The fact that he grew up? There is no explanation for this change.

For me, it was a regular drama, with some great moments, but others that were pointless and dragged out. I liked the main characters, Changge had an incredible evolution, Ashile Sun was a hero who was easy to fall in love with, and the secondary couple was amazing! But some things were poorly explained, for example: why did the Great Khan distrust his own son? The ending was, without a doubt, what I liked the least. It was a happy ending, but very rushed.

I finished watching it yesterday and I really liked it! The chemistry between the main characters is fantastic! I loved how the drama became deeper, more tense and romantic in the second part. But I confess that I wanted even more romance between Niao Niao and Zisheng. They deserved at least half an episode just for cute moments. And kisses! The costume designer had an obvious preference for Wu Lei, as he used the best clothes in the drama! Gorgeous shades of blue! Anyway, I highly recommend it for those who like this genre!

I'm glad you liked it so much! Unfortunately, I decided not to watch it. A friend of mine dropped it halfway through and some people here said that the ending isn't exactly happy. I'm not going to suffer like crazy for dozens of episodes just to have an unsatisfactory ending. Life is too short to suffer like that.

I'm on episode 24 of the drama and I would like to know if at some point Niao Niao will reciprocate General Ling's feelings. I'm afraid that won't happen...

I couldn't agree more. I liked Love and Redemption much more than Ashes of Love. I think everything in L&R resonates stronger with you, from the hatred we feel towards the villain to the romance between the protagonists. And Si Feng is a much better ML than Xu Feng. Cheng Yi delivered a perfect romantic hero.

I completely agree. I've watched so many dramas, I've forgotten so many things, but I've never forgotten the name Si Feng. He is a very good character, very striking, we fall in love so easily. I loved this drama...

I didnt watch that show... I dont believe it's available in my country. I agree, boring FL it's impossible. But Bai Qian it's a great FL IMO
