I watch for 3rd time.. No fast forward .. U had to listen every detail what they talk about.. There a lot art…
Buyi wanted it all, love and revenge, the change at the end broke him and he needed to take action or else how would he face his dead relatives? He should've dealt with revenge before thinking about love but oh well. π€·πΎββοΈ I mean what he had on his plate was quite heavy, if he's not willing to trust his partner enough he shouldn't have gotten into a relationship in the first place. If he was put in shaoshang's shoes he wouldn't like it either.

How do you expect a 15/16 year old who was abandoned by her own parents and left to fend/overanalyze situations on her own, thus causing her to be overly independent to act bro?π I genuinely adore her character, some kids would become timid, insecure and scared if put in her position. "Unfortunately stuck with a girl with abandonment issues" is that her fault?? No. Was he unaware?? No, he likes her that way, or at least said he did. He brought her into the palace knowing her character very well, shaoshang pays evil with revenge, love with love. That's just how she is, so her getting involved in politics is inevitable, is she supposed to change for a man who claimed to love her the way she is? Is she supposed to change for a man who brought her into the palace thus involving her in politics? Yes she kept things from him but she later told him and they resolved it right? She expected the same from him which he didn't comply and it broke her heart.
you know i spoiled myself the ending by watching the last minutes of the last ep seriously we should watch 56…
REAL!!! They should've given us two extra episodes(or ten) of the wedding, shaoshang finally building a house, and maybe some moments with their kids? We were robbed fr.π
I thought immortals get their memories wiped when undergoing a trial in the mortal realm? Oh and immortals can't use their powers in the mortal realm without consequences? For the fear of disrupting the mortal realm?
Lol the same man who didn't tell her he was hiding something from her after she asked several times? Same man…
He shouldn't have proposed to her in the first place without even knowing how she felt about him, he shouldn't have proposed to her if he knew he'd choose revenge over her, but yeah I agree with you on this, things didn't go as planned so he had to take action, without telling her so she won't be punished. That's why he did it before their wedding so she wouldn't get punished as his wife? Thing is she would willingly want to go down with him and ling buyi knows, he loves her too much to get her involved. If you look at things from both their perspectives you'd find their actions understable. LLTG is still my favorite historical cdrama.β€οΈ
I've never felt this much emotions in depth while watching a drama!!!

Glad she met the empress who actually gave her motherly love.
A comment below said he loses his memories when he doesn't see her face, weird thing to add to a great story.π
