girl, let me tell you, this drama had some great longevity, been in the top 10 most watched cdrama on tencent for like a whole year now lol.

netflix had a habit of adding more episodes in the future so we can't be certain lol, happened to a whole lots of other kdramas available for streaming on netflix.

Oh how I hope some people have the same mindset as yours. It saddens me as to how not a lot of individuals managed to catch on the symbolisms this series is trying to imply. It's beautifully crafted and well thought out. Sure it may be weird in a lot of ways but it successfully managed to get its message across the viewers, most are just blind not to see it.

wu jin yan better be getting back into her form on her next drama cuz what the hell happened with her acting prowess on this one? she always seems out of place and makes confusing faces and utterly always have this smirk on in her face in scenes that are not needed, she showcases contrasting facial expressions on a scene that's needed to have a certain given appearance but most of the time she just fails to present the right kind of facials and delivery ? she keeps making certain expressions that doesn't suit a particular scene and It's pissing me off, like just go watch it for yourselves and see how I'm right., I love her acting and I think that she's a great actress but I am very much disappointed with her acting on this one.

royal feast is painfully slow but the last 4 episodes are perfect in terms of pacing and execution and also little romantic scenes between the leads, court lady on the other hand is a drama that's like an ensemble cast where there's a lot of main characters (another example of ensemble casts dramas is our blues), so xu kai gets not a lot of screentime on that one tho his character is the best and storyline is good, cleverly written but his leading lady's character on that one is so robotic and one note #sorrynotsorry. It's better for emily to watch once upon a time in lingjian mountain and dance of the sky empire both are hilarious to watch and will give you the giggles. I agree with the recommendations with yanxi palace tho, such a great drama. and may I just add that the legends is a near perfect drama if it wasn't for that god awful pacing and editing sequences in the last 6 episodes that confuses a lot of us and left us unsatisfied with the whole show and ending?

mr sunshine have a runtime of 1hr and 20 minutes too and have 24 episodes but it maintained it's amazing quality throughout the whole series.

idk it depend on your subjective taste since his dramas are all sorta different from one another but I like ancient love poetry and arsenal military academy from him the most, tho his most popular internationally is falling into your smile, ancient love poetry is one heck of a journey tho, it starts slow but around episode 16 is where things go crazy, beyond that episode all things are exceptionally good.

if you somehow ended up on him then might as well watch one of his dramas. 👀

I just know that xu kai's really eager to play a grey character lol, that's all he says in interviews recently when asked what kind of characters he want to play next. Wishing that we'll get one soon enough
