Did we ever get an explanation of why/how the master-servant covenant broke?

I'm rooting for the princess and marquis, so he can love someone he can have and be less psycho. But it was also nice to see playboy Shishan in action. He is so charming and cute.

Very crazy yet satisfying revenge soap opera, full of all the usual kdrama tropes but still totally hooked me.

The only things missing from the ending were seeing dad’s and emperor’s reaction to the wedding. They both knew XW was into Ning before she did.

The conflict was not properly set up at all. I’m totally not feeling it. They just seemed like two people who were attracted to each other from the get go no matter what she intended.

I just realized the actor who plays General Pei Junior also played Xu Kai's best friend in She and Her Perfect Husband. No wonder he looked so familiar.

Did they explain how ML figured out FL was lying about being a concubine and I missed it? I feel like he just realized it without any actual reveal...

I don't understand the FL. The problem is really not that big a deal. Wanting a hot, rich boyfriend as revenge against your cheating ex is a non-issue. If he were an old windbag, she would have never gone after him.

Wow, awful relatives and spineless parents. My blood really boils with the FL. I'm looking forward to everyone getting their comeuppance.

What the heck was going on between Weishen and Lady Wuji? Why did Wuji give up Weishen to Shangjue and then later go visit her after her escape as if everything was fine and then poison her again? Did something happen between the prison break and the bedside visit for Wuji to suddenly come visit Weishen and Weishen accepting the visit and the gift that poisoned her?

And if Wuji had accepted the Gong family and turned her back on Wufeng, why wouldn't she accept Weishen and keep trying to kill her?

Now in ep 20, Weishen and Ziyu talking about Shangguan Qian...when did she reveal that SQ is also Wufeng?

This drama is the best of both worlds: the female spy/assassin + beautiful costume drama. It is very well done.

All of the best doctors at the Emperor's disposal could not cure Lord Ding, the emperor's precious brother, but of course Mu with a little book learning could do it! Yes, makes total cdrama sense! 😂

This is pretty standard practice for Tencent to release that many trailers for their big period dramas. I think you're thinking of iQiyi that only does a couple trailers at a time.

He took way too much time off from dramas and missed the prime of his looks. He was absolutely gorgeous in It's Okay, That's Love. He's still very handsome, but starting to look old.

I agree with you, but I don't think Jing is even handsome enough to overcome his flaws. I think the three other male lead actors all look better in period costume and wigs than him. Maybe in real life with short hair, he's just as handsome, but not in this drama.
