This is a Taiwanese production not Chinese so don't worry, yes it features Chinese actors but so did Meet You at the Blossom (distributed by Thailand) which aired just fine

This is not a remake or adaptation of Addicted
It's a Taiwanese adaptation of Mou Mou

Even the synopsis says Adapted from the novel "Mou Mou" (某某) by Mu Su Li (木苏里).
At no point was Addicted mentioned
Addicted novel is called Are You Addicted?
No correlation with Mou Mou beyond the step bro plot being same-ish
