This is an original screenplay that turned into a novel like Never Let Me Go, Dangerous Romance and Only Friends

For Last Twilight, they released the novelization b4 it aired

I think it's because they have so many official pairings and keep adding more.

To ease up the production, they just used established IP and as an attempt to attract more viewers


Looking at the current lineup

Cherry Magic is the still most popular despite suspension of inter release with ep 3 trended more than 300K.

Last Twilight (original screenplay) is lagging behind despite doing decent numbers, other than ep 6 every ep so far trended less than 200k tweets

Cooking Crush consistently trending more than 200K cause OffGun

GMMTV is adapting the manga and adjust based on Thai culture, not remaking the JP live action
Changes in the JP version will not make it to Thai version

Even the manga author worked closely with the adaptation and only approve as they like
But you can't please everyone I guess

I understand it's good to have representation
The Japanese live action still exists we can always go back and watch that iteration of the character

GMMTV should just stick to original stories or adapting Thai novels/source material that only the natives know
Adapting a known and beloved IP is divisive no matter what u do
