LOVED this show SO much! So glad I watched this before watching Hospital Playlist so I didn't have any expectations…
As a lover of slice of life dramas, this director-screenwriter combo NEVER disappoints. They've made the bar so high, nothing else can compare. I've loved all their work! Thank you for your talent team! <33
LOVED this show SO much! So glad I watched this before watching Hospital Playlist so I didn't have any expectations and completely enjoyed it - I'm def tuning in for Hospital Playlist soon. Also, personally I think this was a perfect way to promote the OBGYN department (especially knowing S.Korea is lacking in the number of OBGYN doctors) unlike the BS 'When the stars gossip' tried to do *God it was awful.*
Truthfully speaking... it was horrible (no sugarcoating here). The movie was good when I first watched it in 2021 but not so much after the recent rewatch. This sequel served no better. First of all, it could have easily be kept a movie, it would have demonstrated the suspense much better that way actually. Secondly, no hate to the cast because they tried their best under the circumstances but it didn't show their true acting potential. Lastly, unfortunately, everything about the production, direction, script, choreography was not it at all; felt very amateur-like. Additionally, the plot was VERY rushed. Not only, us, the viewers couldn't create a connection with the characters enough for us to care about how the drama develops, but adding romance and the new girl did not help add any sort of excitement- merely a plot filler. In conclusion, this season was unnecessary and I don't see the point of a new one happening either.
Shout out to the incredible cast and exceptional acting for bringing this whole story to light! π I'll be looking forward to Kim Donghwi's work after his military enlistment finishes thanks to this.
Decent 8/10.Started watching for LJH with no expectations but ended up being decently surprised and enjoything this. Though the slow pace takes a few episodes to get used to, it's truly worth it. I loved how raw and relatable to real life the directing felt ( from all interactions and even including the assistants to every awkard silence ) especially adding the Intern so it feels like the viewers are tagging along with the team and learning through him. My favorite episodes would have to be 5 and 6 when they were dealing with the Japanese company. I loved seeing international business concepts come to life - alluding to things like honne and tatemae and cultural context needed when working abroad. (If anyone has any other kdrama recommendations that may include stuff like this plzz reply!) I was also gonna mention how I'm glad they kept it at 12 episodes since it felt like the perfect amount, only for the final minute to give us the biggest plot twist. I'm not complaining though, I'll be waiting patiently for season 2!π Lastly, it would have been so easy to mess this script up, yet with this directing it became quite the decent final product.
Looks like the winner won't be getting the prize money because he leaked his results before the show was even released. Therefore, due to strict Netflix confidentiality, he lost his chance at 300M won and was disqualified. I wonder now if that means the money could instead be passed down to 2nd place (that'd be much deserved).
Enjoyed this drama very much and I'm happy it involved subtle, cute romance moments without taking away much from the main message towards mental health awareness of many forms. Special praise and shut out to the visual fx team for the way the illnesses were visually portrayed to make it more understandable and empathetic with the naked eye for the viewer. This truly changed my perspective on certain mental illnesses and how to treat people generally as you never know what they may be going through. Appreciated how it ended. I actually dropped this at some point because it became hard to continue but I'm so glad I came back to finish it. Definitely worth the watch but beware, trigger warnings are needed for things like self-harm. 8.5/10 βοΈ
Finally a good kdrama this year! So excited to once again have something to look forward to for the next few months!π€ Also, love their chemistry and great script-writing tiki-taka.
A work of art and true definition of soulmate. The cinematography was the best part about this movie, a true masterpiece. Sets the tone gracefully for the audience to feel everything along with the characters and the visuals are amazing. The slow pacing helps add into the emotions, so ofc I cried by the end. Acting from whole cast was incredible. Overall, this movie was also very thought-provoking (during and after), which I feel is necessary for a good movie. It's not about wanting the movie to end a certain way, but how it really makes you feel so I think the ML's development fit right within this storyline and I like that they didn't focus on him too much. Lastly, in my perspective, the movie portrayed soulmates perfectly. No matter the hardships you face or how different your lives are, you'll always come back to each other in a heartbeat and find yourself missing each other given the sensation of freedom and peace you have when you're together. Deserving of the ratings here. 8.5/10 from me.
This show proved the best marketing tactic: any news is good news. All games were so smart and I appreciate how they were rightfully judged too. It was a good binge watch and top 4 deserved the spots though I rooted for Pani Bottle from the start and so sad he didn't win. I love how I got to see Risabae's sincerity too as I didn't know of her previously.
Unfortunately I had higher expectations, but then again it was only 8 episodes so it was very rushed and pretty average. Loved Jonghyeop as always and gotta give huge praise to the OSTs for setting the mood nicely. 7.5/10
He would hear people say pani bottle on the Indian trains so he picked it up as a nickname.
I only got to know him recently because of the adventure by accident show so I don't know much of him personally yet. Maybe if you see his old YouTube videos you might find out, but for now idk
