“we are happy”? who is “we”? the story is supposed to be about four characters, but now it’s turning into a story about your fave. that’s why you’re happy.

at least there’s one objective fan here, thank god. because some of the so-called “experts” in this comment section act like they have some special gift to understand the script that the rest of us don’t, as if we’re all just watching with stupid eyes. so thank god there’s at least someone who isn’t trying to pretend everything is perfect.

what part don’t you understand? what i’m saying is that a story should reveal every character’s background little by little, not dedicate a whole episode to just one of them. that’s bad writing.

showing a character’s story isn’t the problem. the problem is needing a full 40-minute episode to explain it instead of building it up in the previous ones. if you have to stop everything to explain one character’s past, that’s a script problem.

so the issue isn’t the character, it’s the writing. the script. understand that.

honestly it sounds like you’re the one crying here. you’re saying “justsay you hate him,” but where did i ever say i hate him? complaining about a plot decision doesn’t mean someone hates a character.

and if GJM really did a good job with the script, he would’ve revealed the character’s story little by little so people could discover who he is. spending a whole episode just to explain it is bad writing. that’s literally what i said, so please keep that in mind.

as far as i remember, i’ve only commented here twice since the drama started. once when i said i didn’t like the trailers because they were bad and because he made one trailer for his favorite and another for the rest of the cast. that’s it. maybe i commented one more time, i don’t even remember.

so where exactly do you see me “always complaining” or “crying”? sorry, this is just immaturity. grow up.

how would you even know if i watch the drama or not? i’ve been following it since the day it was announced — the filming, the updates, everything. i even posted photos from the set.

i’m sorry but i didn’t see the first episodes being focused on Wuwu’s story. people have literally done breakdowns of the episodes, and Chen Duling and Joseph have around 5–8 minutes of screen time each episode (except one where they had a bit more). so i really don’t know what “focus” you’re talking about.

what are you even talking about? in what kind of story with four main characters have you ever seen a writer dedicate a whole episode just to explain one person’s past?

when we were wondering who Wu Shiguan was, they didn’t give him a whole episode. they revealed things about him little by little in every chapter until we finally understood who he was. that’s how good writing works.

giving someone an entire episode just to explain their backstory isn’t good writing, it’s favoritism. a story should build things gradually. and it’s not just that — if you watch the drama, you can literally find 10 minutes where the camera is just focused on jjy’s face.

“equal billing,” they said. I just hope my girl never crosses paths with GJ again. he can do a thousand dramas with his favorites, just leave her alone.

Yes, you’re right. Nothing they put in the trailers makes any sense. It feels like they just picked random scenes from everywhere and threw them together. The trailer literally gives you nothing—it’s completely empty. I’ve been waiting almost two years for this drama, and those are the trailers we get? Absolute disappointment.
