Yes, I sincerely feel sorry for all those souls that are now souls in pain, they should send them to the other side, style like they do in Uncanny counter, or well that they try not only to identify the spirit but to help it to leave in peace and peace of mind, for example, the thing about the wandering spirits made me angry rather than afraid that they don't help them and only scare them away, it's like the ones in the suicide tree (I imagine it's an important part of this story because even the mother's family prota could have something to do with that).
