I understand that part because I think everyone would be pissed off if they were drugged and forced. But it's so necessary that all period dramas portray the male protagonist as a jerk, it's rare that dramas don't portray him like that, but being more novel I would make another boy who stays with her and even from another nation so that he can make a life away from all the suffering that they will cause him in the future I imagine.

First chapter and big red flag of the male character, it's the second time they make this pathetic female protagonist with a terrible man, honestly I would prefer that she stay with a guy more devoted to her.
