Both iQiyi and Viki have posted English synopsis for the series. In iQiyi app, the title has been changed to English and you may now search for it. Hope this means it's dropping really soon.
yeah. chinese entertainment industry is confusing. they sometimes impose rules like censorship, sometimes not; they cut Dylan's sizzling scenes in Unchained Love but not in other dramas. maybe it's as they say, it depends on having powerful backers.
An entertainment ban was announced in China on oct 27 because of the death of a former Chinese minister. As in previous deaths of high officials in China, it was expected that no new content would be released for a week or so. However, Rising With The Wind has announced it's dropping today, so it seems there is no entertainment ban.
yeah, that might be it. they'll probably offer this in more areas later on. i even don't know if i'll get subtitles as the drama title i reserved is in Chinese writing. i hope i don't have to rely on google translation
apparently, Mango TV chose to sell its overseas rights and iQiyi International won over Netflix for the rights.
Google translation is not very good when it comes to dramas. I guess because context is very important in dramas and Google does not pick it up very well. I did that with Youth in the Flames of War and it wasn't a good experience
In iq.com, under Coming Soon, I found a drama with a promotional poster of Didi and Bai Lu. The title is in Chinese writing. There's a Reserve button underneath it.
I went to iq.com and looked for Coming Soon. There's a photo of Didi and Bailu for Only For Love, but the writing is Chinese. Under the photo is a Reserve button which I clicked. I don't know if this is going to be subtitled. We'll see...
