Not the future as in the first ep per se.
This is 500 years from the events in the Jing arc. TTJ stayed for 500 years in the Nether River looking for YXW (poor boy didn't even know her real name LOL) until he was saved by Shifu from the Xiaoyao Sect.
In the tower scene, RIP to OG YXW's body. LSS' soul was able to survive the divine lightning punishment but it had to go through the death-rebirth cycle like a phoenix. It eventually went back to her own original body which was at the Hengyang Sect lake. That's when she gained consciousness again.
She did manage to change this future because she took out TTJ's evil bone and replaced it with her immortal one. He thus didn't become DG and instead of massacreing sects, he just looked for YXW. 😅

Agreed. The twists were nice! I liked how they resolved the Bamboo Masters' issues and their healing. Zi Qi's in particular was well done --- visually and storytelling-wise. 💕

Why are they hating on her? 😕TXW is so cute! Have seen several of her dramas and she's very charming in her portrayals.
