helllooooπ! I came here for Baishu. I dropped this drama after few episodes. Dont reckon I know Baishu.. Does…
Hi! He is totally cute in this one! I started anticipating him in dramas after watching him in LAR. He appeared quite a lot. Don't remember him having a tragic ending...π€ Correct me if I'm wrong for those who have seen this recently.
This is one of HMH's earlier works and I consider it amongst the top 10 youth Cdramas ever because of the stellar acting of the cast with a heartfelt story.

Yeah, it's really too bad he couldn't move on from MY. I saw the forced marriage and netherbeast marks leaked pics during the LITC filming so I knew they'd turn him into an antagonist, but I was somehow still hoping for a better ending for his character. Oh well! π€·ββοΈ
My only gripe was the story direction of the final villain. Thoughts below:
It would have made more sense for the Zhushui emperor to be the final villain. After all, he had been orchestrating everything in the shadows and have planned for the array activation for 100 years. For him with supposed high cultivation to be easily struck by STL and turned into a puppet just didn't jive. It would have been so satisfying to see him fail and be defeated by MingZai after scheming for a long time. His retribution should have been shown on screen after all the suffering and deaths he caused - not as a post script. It would also have been full circle to see MingZai use the Heartbond Array to again subdue the netherbeast energy, destroy the Sky Swallowing Array, and finally reveal to the world that Fairy Lin was the true hero 100 years ago. The stigma attached to fairies with spiritual veins would be removed.
Also for me, STL turning evil didn't ring true. His character would have been spying on his father for MY's sake. Options for him could have been: 1. sacrificed himself to protect MY or 2. let go of his obsession and wandered around to live for himself.
Oh hello, Micha. Delighted to hear itβs good show. Gonna party binge this next weekend!π₯³π
The chemistry of the leads will make up for the beginning and the story comes together later on. I really like HMH and LYX so I'm glad I stuck with it.

It's good. I liken this drama to how a bricklayer would build the foundation slowly but surely at the beginning then the later episode reveals make sense since the foreshadowings were laid in place. The characters also have their motivations and you can see how their actions play out accordingly. I am on ep.33 now and I am glad the show seems to be doing well in the home stretch. After I finish this, I'll start bingeing Xixi's next. π
I got hand it to the casting director and the actors in this drama. ππππ«‘π«‘π«‘Some actors just really…
I'm just catching up on ep.31 and that "reunion" scene between MY and her fuqin was one of the most heartwarming and realest I've ever seen . π₯² His wonder, joy, and pride at finally being called father then his embarassment at his tears and complaints of his suffering were so spot on. MY crying, reassuring, and laughing at him were cherry on top. π₯°

Some actors just really have that magical ability to express profoundly with their microexpressions. HMH and LYX have that ability. Many of the supporting cast members here have it, too.

Love in the Cloud's finale is one of the loveliest amongst the countless dramas I've watched!
Ming Yi and Ji Bo Zai are a perfect match! πΉπ‘
