Wah i am rewatching the show in Netflix and saw Susu has mentioned about her practice of heartless way to Ttj…
I did haha but I guess it was done so subtly since it was just a "charm" that people did not pick up on her intentions and her chosen way even back then. π
Here's the transcript as a refresher: Body, heart, and mind are three different parts. When the three parts are unified, the internal elixir is formed. Empty thy heart to unite soul and character. Calm thy body to silent energy and mood. Steady thy mind then all three merge into one. Turn your energy to Qi and your body won't move. Turn your Qi into soul and your heart won't move. Turn your soul empty and your mind won't move. Destroy your desire for romantic love then you can understand the universe and all the lives. This is the one and only way of the Heartless Way.
But maybe I'm way off mark. All roads lead the right way and the Heartless Way is just one of them.
The machine translated ones are bad but the ongoing translation by SecondLifeTranslations is pretty good although…
No, he isn't in the immortal arc at all. Di Mian died more than 10,000 years ago. Under the DG 1.0's order, he had to hurt Chuhuang but later learned that she was already pregnant with Li Susu at the time (who was later born without breath because of her mom's injury). Chuhuang was heartbroken and hated Di Mian so much that she destroyed her love threads. She used the power of time and space to condense LSS's soul to send her into the future.
In the meantime, Di Mian collected many artifacts to help his daughter wake up. He also opened the Thousand Mile Picture Scroll, a beautiful space/home in the Cangyuan Realm, where LSS can grow up safely and with divine fruits that will help her cultivation. Lastly, he also personally cast a very powerful feather weapon aka Zhongyu that can transform, protect, and help Li Susu in battles.
Unfortunately, the battle between DG 1.0 and the gods happened before he could deliver these things to Chuhuang. Before Di Mian died, he pulled out his heart protection scale hoping for it to protect Chuhuang and their daughter. He also pulled out his love threads (probably to replace Chuhuang's destroyed ones). For some reason Bitchang was lost and got into that "magical" time/place where Di Mian was. He asked her to give the two objects to his wife in the Susu valley but she never did. She decided to keep the magical things for herself because she saw a bad prophesy of her future. Thus, Chuhuang never knew that Di Mian was repentant and truly loved her and their daughter.

Iβm really contemplating on reading the novel. if I do, itβll be my first c-drama novel. Anyone care to share…
The machine translated ones are bad but the ongoing translation by SecondLifeTranslations is pretty good although it is only up to Ch.78. https://secondlifetranslations.com/novel/black-moonlight-holds-the-be-script/ It is easy to read but the novel is way darker(in terms of evil deeds) than the drama. You will get the internal dialogues of the character which will help you understand their actions even if you might disagree with them. There are parts that the novel did better (RIP Curved Jade) but drama did well in streamlining some parts of the story. Although I must say I dislike how drama changed the characterizations so much and added unnnecessary characters (looking at you Mo Nv and undead Di Mian). π
Novel TTJ did all sorts of evil but he didn't rape YXW. They both drank Silk Knot Springworm(an aphrodisiac that acts more like a poison made by the Yiyue Tribe). TTJ drank the only antidote so he only got the urges without the pain. YXW on the otherhand experiences extreme physical and mental agony every time the poison hits. If she resists, the time between painful attacks shortens so eventually they had sexual relations every 15th of the month.
I AM MANIFESTING AND THINKING ABOUT WHO WILL kill DI MIAN' ancient and rotten ass. I think its definitely gonna…
Isn't LSS the one who will kill him? I think someone mentioned it here but it doesn't matter. Anyone will do. He needs to be dead and stay that way. π
