What episode are you on? In the novel and drama, YBC did become TTJ's concubine. It was said in a short narration that she was conferred a title ( but it was later stripped from her as well). They didn't have any sexual relations at all.

Because the writers are sadistic and really want to amp up our pain. This wedding didn't even happen in the novel. I don't mind this change though because the cinematography, outfits, and acting in this "red wedding" are cinematic perfection.

It's infuriating! They weakened her character so much with irrational scenes and cliche misunderstandings/miscommunication. Novel YXW/LSS didn't even have to fake seduce TTJ because she is a badass character and that's the reason TTJ fell for her. It's a shame that we missed a strong, smart, and steadfast FL character.

Anyways, I'm sticking to it because of LYX and Bailu. They have acted their hearts out in this one esp.ep26.

In the drama, HGS was a wedding gift for XL from Xiaoyao sect leader. XL then gave it to TTJ and it protected him on his wedding night. That is Ming Ye's scale. 😁

Hmm that's how the drama screenwriters weakened her character. She didn't do any vacillating in the novel because some of these ridiculous scenes didn't exist. I do understand your frustration with her since they went with the misunderstanding/miscommunication cliche in the drama.

However, the fact is TTJ has the Evil Bone. Regardless of his intent to do good or bad in his lifetime, once he dies he will become Devil God. Thus, YXW needs to kill him.

Anyways, I love these two. I just wanted to point out some things about YXW/LSS' motivations. 😊

She is on mission to save the Three Realms. That trumps personal desires and love. Couldn't you guys see how conflicted but also how resigned she was? The part of her that loves TTJ didn't want to do it but she has to.

In the drama, the HPS was a wedding gift to them from the Xiaoyao sect leader (brought by Pang) but YBC was the one keeping it at first. I don't remember how XL got it. Maybe, I FF through their scene. 🤣

In the novel, YBC got the HPS when she was lost in a valley. She gave it to TTJ for his protection after she became his concubine.

Anyways, let's just say the drama did a good bromance parting for TTJ and XL. 😂

That's why it was heartwrenching. Since he heard this was a wedding custom, "Little Evil God" TTJ embroidered YXW's veil and prayed to the gods to bless their marriage.
