I read the webtoon years ago and found his suicide over his crush quite unnecessary. He had no deep relationship with the FL, nor did he seem to know her well. He was only an acquaintance. Why would he kill himself for that, especially after meeting her again after 10 years? He already had a perfect life… How selfish. The webtoon didn’t develop his character well. He showed no signs of being suicidal, and people don’t just end their lives like that. Considering his business background, this made no sense at all. Poor and lazy writing.

I didn’t know Reborn Rich, Go Back Couple, etc. had cheating husbands with pick-me best friends/sisters, male leads who also time-travelled, got killed by trunk-kun, naive female leads who changed in their second lives, and male leads who had unrequited crushes on their previous lives, etc.

I think they changed the suicide part since the suicide rates are quite high in South Korea. Reminds me of how China censored parallel worlds/time travel genre as it might inspire people to commit suicide.

The literally changed the way the ML died in the webtoon and copied PMR's male lead's death. Just because it's a similar genre, that doesn't mean they had to copy everything.
