They vote for people because they have to, even if they don’t turn out to be the mafia. It’s like desperation. That’s why they voted for many citizens despite their gut telling them not to. They have to make someone the scapegoat, especially with limited time, so they would find little faults of them to persuade others to vote.

probably to not get stained with blood
There is a webtoon about mafia game but it has nothing to do with this drama

Also, when did I say, "that I hooked Da Beom and Kyeong Jun together or even romanticized their scenes"? Can you…
I agree that fictional characters are often created to serve a narrative purpose, and they may not reflect the reality or the complexity of human psychology. They may also be easier to analyse and criticise, without affecting the lives of real victims or perpetrators. However, I also think that fiction can influence our perception and understanding of reality, and that some fictional characters can be based on or inspired by real evil people. I also agree that abusers are often people who have close and intimate relationships with their victims, but I also think that this does not change the fact that abusers are still evil people who have done evil things, and that they should not be excused or justified for their actions. I think that acknowledging the good aspects of abusers does not mean denying or minimising the bad aspects of abusers, and that recognising the evil aspects of abusers does not mean ignoring or dismissing the good aspects of abusers. They can all coexist.

That would be a happy ending, actually, as they would escape the loop, and everyone would survive, unless it's similar to "Alice in Borderland."

It wasn't actually a dream. In "Alice in Borderland," they were playing a life-and-death game, and whoever survived the game survived in real life.

I think you misunderstood me. I do agree with what you've said about psychological pathology, but this is a really complex issue with many different perspectives. Many psychologists argue that evil people tend to dehumanise, manipulate, and harm others without any remorse or empathy. They also emphasise that most people who intentionally harm others do not think of themselves as evil but rather rationalise or justify their actions in various ways. Laymen often blame evil people's circumstances to make excuses for their behavior. Understanding the factors contributing to evil is not for everyone; many people misuse it. I agree that understanding something doesn't mean justifying the actions, but sometimes laymen do.

Also, I disagree with "abusers and bullies are terrible people, but portraying them solely as monsters who are capable of no good is also in itself harmful." I think that abusers and bullies are terrible people, and portraying them solely as monsters who are capable of no good is not harmful but rather realistic and justified.

I apologise if I sounded hostile; that's the way I write things. People are entitled to their own opinions, and criticisms are welcome.

What ???
Someone accused me of being a liar and then proceeded to block me, so I couldn't respond to them. I don't really care anymore; I've addressed everything here and rest my case

It looks like you didn't read anything I've clarified. I am not liable for whatever people think of my comments or their assumptions. Just because they assume something doesn't mean I said those things. Please don't take words out of my mouth. Many things you've pointed out, I've already addressed in my previous comments, so I will not repeat myself. Trying to understand an evil person is not a good mentality since you are blaming their circumstances. Everyone went through something in life; that doesn't mean they are all evil. I've mentioned this in my previous comments.

I agree with your statement that they do deserve punishment. Evils cannot be eradicated nor fixed; there are many serial killers with perfect families. Not everyone can feel empathy or believes that they can never be wrong. Some people are really egoistic; they never take accountability, always thinking they are correct and never wrong (like the bully here). Many women tried finding reasons for their abusive partners' actions and tried correcting them, but guess what happened to them? They ended up dead. That's why this notion is harmful. The "I can fix him" mindset is extremely harmful, and joking about it is insensitive. There is not always a reason for everything we do; you can read up on David Hume's take on this. This is a philosophical debate, so let's not dig into this. You are entitled to believe what you want, and I respect that. Your last paragraph has nothing to do with anything I've discussed, so I don't know what you are talking about, lol

Badass bunny, I wasn't specifically talking about your fictional work. If you feel attacked, that's your real problem. I was mainly referring to TikTok users. Finding reasons for bullying is pathetic because most of the time there is no reason; it starts out of nowhere, and sometimes victims wonder what they did wrong. This is truly harmful, and what they are doing is fetishistic because I've seen plenty of examples. When I mentioned "love rejection," I was referring to a comment someone made, and "romanticizing their scenes" referred to edits someone made on TikTok. Why do you feel attacked and think I am talking about you only? Have you even read my comments? I didn't even know it was your fictional work. All I said is someone wrote fan fiction about their relationship, and that's all. That's the only time I spoke about "fictional work."If you scroll down to my comments, you would see I was referring to TikTok users, and even people who replied to my comments know what I am talking about.

Found the weird simp with internalised misogyny
I know they wouldn't hate on Somi if she were a hot guy, lol. They are making justifications and finding reasons behind the bully's actions but villainising Somi. This is deeply rooted in internalised misogyny.Just like how they talked negatively about the female lead in "Strong Women" and sided with the murderous villain.
