The only couple who was a secret was ParkLee and I thought that was strange that Park, Mek & Bear had been best friends for over 3 years and nobody knew that Lee was his man 🤣 like how the heck did Park hide that for THAT long? Or are Mek & Bear just that stupid & oblivious?!?!?! 😳 haha

I think in Asian dramas in general, it’s kinda a rule of thumb that breakups for good are a NO NO lol. If the fans see a pairing, they know that this couple is endgame versus in American shows we really don’t know what to expect. It could be several pairings for one guy (or woman, whoever the main lead is) in one show and it doesn’t really bother us, which is more realistic because let’s face it, lots of us go through several relationships before finding “the one”, but there are some first loves who get it right their first try but that’s just way less the narrative for most humans but Asian dramas sell a fantasy (most times) rather than making us relive what’s already happening in our love lives 🤣

The guys who played Lee & Park definitely need their own show. Their chemistry was off the charts but I will say Daniel Cheng seems to have chemistry with ANYONE he’s paired with and honestly that just means he’s an amazing actor! I was rooting hard for them the whole time especially when one thought the other may be cheating, I was legit scarred & terrified lol. I do agree that this show showed the different stages of relationships really well. I also was confused that birthday scene when Mek completely bailed out at the last minute. I was thinking the entire time “wtf just happened? Weren’t you wanting this reaction from Kim????” 😳 lol but after rewatching it I was thinking maybe it totally dawned on him after hearing the words “I like you” that it would be hard to start a relationship at that time and maintain it with him being in an entire different country for like 2-3 years. Like maybe in that moment his worst fears became a sudden reality, ya know? Like you know how you envision this greatness in your head but then when you actually know that the happiness is attainable, you start to self sabotage it because those fears in the back of your mind are laid out front and more noticeable because it could actually happen at this point? I think he had one of those moments.

I agree wholeheartedly. I feel like Fluk’s performance was a lot more believable with Mek’s feelings, but Earth still did an okay job it’s just the contrast in their acting was noticeable. Personally I adored ParkLee, they were very passionately in love and I love to see these types of couples and their chemistry didn’t seem strained or forced. I also loved BearBomb too, they were cute 🥰 I think I always somehow fall for the side couples more than the main one 🤣

I actually really loved this show. I was genuinely shocked because I sort of thought the premise would be that Mek & Kim would be in a entire relationship and be acting like they hate one another the entire time which I’m glad that’s not what happened. I loved how their relationship & feelings developed at an steady pace. All the couples were cute but my fave were Lee & Park for sure! They were spicy & very passionate & in love 🤍 I feel like Daniel Cheng has mad chemistry with ALL of his partners 👏🏾

I loved the first episode! I couldn’t take my eyes off of the screen 👏🏾 And I’m crushing big time on Phayu, it’s just something about his aura ✨ I’m not totally into how he was planning to “collect fees” for fixing Rain’s vehicle BUT honestly Rain does seem obsessed with him and he did go all the way to the man’s house PLUS took a shower there & I guess planned to spend the night so his actions did sort of allude to being dtf 🤷🏾‍♀️ But nonetheless no means no always.

Whew this just gets better and better! I’m so ready for more. I love that Akk is starting to realize his feelings but is trying to keep a safe distance so that he doesn’t lose all his clarity. I feel like Ayan has BEEN feeling him though. I think he likes the chase lol.

Yeah he is but his character still doesn’t really amount to enough to make me blind towards how bad this series is lol

I absolutely loved Eps 1-2, had me all in my feelings! Eps 3-4 were good too but I prefer the story of the first two eps honestly.

I wonder how OffGun fans are going to take this show? Seeing as Off is in it as well but Gun is paired with Oab again….yes I know OabGun came first but OffGun is much more popular at this point than that ship.

In a strange way I feel like the second couple should be the main because they’re much more interesting and they’re putting on the chemistry. The main couple’s storyline is just soooooo redundant and seems to be going NOWHERE 🙄 we need some momentum because it’s getting boring…

Now I could definitely be up for watching them together 👏🏾

Oh Dao is SUPER whiny and annoying that’s why I can’t see the obsession of Tee & Nine with him 🤣 and Nine’s ex-gf is terrible too I don’t see how he stayed with her as long as he did. She would’ve been kicked to curb had I been Nine 💯

But like didn’t Tee cheat on Dao initially which caused their breakup? So he’s been terrible smh. I feel like there are no redeemable characters that you can root for because everyone is so heavily flawed lol

I also think Dao & Nine’s relationship would have made WAY more sense if we had known way earlier that Nine actually liked him first in College but was too scared to give him the gift himself and Tee knowingly gave the gift to Dao & didn’t correct him when he misunderstood that the gift came from him smh. Idk what type of friend Tee is but that was on every level wrong, that’s breaking any best friend code but I digress 🤣

That is true about about friend chemistry but if you’re a good actor you can pretty much make it work. Think of American shows, we almost never see the same onscreen couples more than once and they’re still able to create chemistry at the end of the day because let’s face it they’re acting. Their job is to create chemistry between the characters not themselves. In acting you have to separate yourself from the character and understand your characters dynamic and everything about them to be able to do it.

I have really high hopes for this series! The first season started out with a bang, I pray it continues it’s momentum. First & Khaotung’s chemistry is amazing as well as all the other actors. I’m excited for next week’s episode 👏🏾

Amen to that! It’s truly one of the best BLs I’ve seen tbh. I loved everyone’s chemistry and it teaches a nice lesson that we should live for ourselves. In retrospect sometimes our parents place a lot of pressure on us to be a certain way because of their past mistakes or endeavors but ultimately our lives are our own and we have to do what’s best for us personally 🤍
