The producer needed the Taiwanese-Thai actors to boost Zhang Yao’s acting skills in Insect Detective 2 - Zhang Yao should read the script before choosing any role. Not all the roles can be suitable him, especially never played the role a God of Sea who can do everything, because his God can’t fix his crooked teeth and his gummy smile that looks like donkey. I like Zhang Yao, but I can’t blindly like all his appearances and all his dramas. He needs to wear braces immediately for his crooked teeth and fix his gummy smile to help his appearances look better.

The budget was alright, but spending on many unnecessary scenes was wrong. The building of the police station is big and the fashion mode didn’t go to the small town if it’s small. That’s what An Ran said, we’re small, but look at the house is big with the big family eating together making Qin Ming too shy, couldn’t eat and everyone in the big family speaks Chinese with different accent because all actors and actresses came from different region.
Everyone in the plot is in love from doctor to policeman dragging the criminal investigation too slow. The love cases solved faster than the criminal cases and needed the love cases to solve the criminal cases.
I have read the books and watched the British movies Sherlock Holmes and Agatha Christie’s Poirot, this Chinese Medical Examiner Dr. Qin: The Mind Reader ressembles to the British movie’s Sherlock Holmes: The Hound of the Baskervilles. The only one actor I know in this dram is Zhang Yao who played Zuo Qinci in Love in Between, the rest of actors and actresses are unknown to me and their acting skills aren’t attracting to me. And the only one of Zhang Yao’s dramas that I can watch is Love in Between. I dropped a few of his dramas such as Reset in July, Insect Detective and Love like White Jade because they weren’t attracted to me. Now I’m trying to watch his Qin Ming’s mind reader until the end because I want to see how far the Chinese criminal investigation drama can be developing, I skipped all the emotional scenes which are so annoying and embarrassing. The horse riding, the bike riding and the emotional scenes are more likely the TVB Hong Kong styles, the British styles. This new modern Chinese drama played back to the old times where doctors can act as policemen. Today in modern times, doctors can’t act as policemen anymore, the forensic chemist, forensic pathologist or forensic doctor don’t do detective work in the field and detectives don’t spend time in the laboratory examining evidence, these are two separate arms of law enforcement.

Highly recommend to watch all 24 episodes. IQIYI has fixed the English subtitles, so it’s more relaxing, smiling, crying, laughing , loving and enjoying a rare treasure.

I found the Korean author goldkiwibird on Instagram posting the picture of Zhang Yaqin played Li Luduo’s love in a Loop. The Korean audience said, Li Luduo played by Zhang Yaqin is so pretty. Love!
I’m at episode 6 today and I love this fantasy love sweet comedy so much. I saw someone posting somewhere saying the author of the Korean version “Feel good to die” supported and tweeted the picture of Zhang Yaqin playing Li LuDuo for this Chinese version “Love in a loop” so there’s no problem of the copyright at all. The pandemic is not over yet, the team and the crew of this drama worked hard to produce this fantasy love sweet comedy drama series, so everyone please just relax and go watching and enjoying it.
