GUWON MADE A DEAL WITH DOHEEāS PARENTS???? AND MADAM JU WITNESSED HIM COLLECTING THEIR SOULS ON THE DAY OF THE…
Same, the next episode is going to be so heartbreaking, i think that Madam Ju's son (Seok Min) was going to try and kill Do Hee's parents by causing the car accident and Madam Ju knew of his plan so she made a deal with Gu Won to prevent their deaths but Gu Won got their too late and they were already dead and because Gu Won can't revive the dead he burned the contract himself (in other eps the contract burned by itself) and because of that Madam Ju felt extremely guilty which is why she took care of Do Hee as a motherly figure to make up for her son's actions.
I also don't believe he was involved. He saw the picture and didn't recognize them at all. Something else happened.
Yeah because if Gu Won was the cause of their death then he would've felt really guilty to the point where he can't even approach Do Hee so obviously Gu Won never killed them.
- This isn't my theory but I feel like it would be a 99% chance of it being correct -
Madam Ju unintentionally caused Do-Heeās parents accident and she was desperately crying for help, to save her parents which Gu-Won heard, came to make the deal. Madam Ju signed it. āSave her parents in exchange sheāll go to hell in 10 years.ā Gu-Won checks on her parents thatās why he was looking through the car window but then he saw they are already dead. He canāt bring back the death so he took out the signed deal and burned it himself as he threw it away. Usually the contracts burn itself after he kills the person who made the deal with him and they usually die from heart attack not accidents. Iām leaning more towards this theory cause if you look at Gu-Wonās face when he burned the contract it was annoyance, he wasted time and energy on a null deal. And how wouldāve Madam Ju know he is the devil himself if she only saw him at the scene of the accident. The only way she could tell the priest that she met the devil is that she made a deal with him. Gu-Won only introduces himself as the devil to the people he is about to sign a deal with. I think the last scene of episode 12 serves the same purpose as the last scene of episode 11. First writers wanted us to believe Gu-Won killed Do-Hee in her past life and now they are trying to make us believe he killed her parents when what really happened is that he failed to save Do-Hee in her past life and failed to save her parents in this life. Itās the same trick as when they put frames of Seok-Hoon joining sides with the villains in preview when it was undercover plan in reality.
I felt bad for him ngl⦠it doesnāt excuse what he did by any means, but heās so mentally damaged itās…
Exactly. She should've protected him from the very beginning or they both could've run away together, that woman makes no sense. She didn't even try to protect him.

It is really sad but the only reason that he's mentally unstable is because his own father abused him so much he didn't know his worth, he became a psycho by following his dad's orders and was always neglected by both his parents. I mean who would intentionally crash their car into a store because their dad wanted that person dead yet not even thinking that you can also die while trying to fulfill his needs?
