Just rewatching this and OMG it reminded me of how amazing the chemistry between Yang Yang and Dilraba was in this series. Absolutely beautiful to watch!

Appreciate your comment. I will just keep watching and see if it improves. For me you can tell if there is chemistry from the beginning. Not just the ML but Dilraba also shows no chemistry. Visually they are lovely but I don’t feel it atm if you know what I mean.

Going from YAMG to this is a bit of a shock lol. I did read somewhere because the ML is married he doesn’t want to see overly expressive with his FL. I don’t know if that’s true but as an actor you have to make the story believable. Anyhow I will continue for Dilraba a😊

I do understand the difference between modern drama romance and costume dramas romance 😊 You don’t have to kiss passionately or doing bed scenes to show chemistry. You can just feel it with how they look at each other, when they dance or just a simply hug. Chemistry between 2 leads either there or not. With some partners it will be more natural and with some just won’t work. I don’t dislike the show and there are some great scenes with them acting individually. They are good actors in their own right and I have seen their other works but together it didn’t work for me. Just my opinion 😊

Not as good as I expected. Little chemistry between Yang Yang and Zhao Lu Si as no obvious fireworks when they are together. I like Yang Yang a lot but I am really not sure about his acting here, especially when they are together in the same scene. When they are in individual scenes with others characters I feel both of their acting are better. I finished the show but won’t be rewatching it.

I am currently up to Episode 11 of the first instalment and this is how I feel so far. There is zero chemistry between Dilraba and the ML. For the record I am a fan of Dilraba’s works and have watched most of her dramas. She always managed to create good chemistry between her and her ML, however for this show there is none so far. I don’t know much about the ML and have not see any of his works but it’s really awkward to watch. The plot is ok but since there is no chemistry between the leads it is getting quite boring. Dilraba has more chemistry with the second ML. I will keep watching and hopefully it will improve.

Watched 8 episodes and I really enjoy the story line so far. The fighting scenes are great but need to watch more episodes to see how the leads chemistry develops. Definitely worth watching 😊

Ethan’s acting is so intense he needs the FL is equally strong and able to connect with him like Yang Mi in LOF. I really wanted to like this drama but unfortunately just couldn’t keep going as it just get so bad as the story went on. Ethan needs another decent project as he is wasting his talent in these mediocre dramas.

As food lover I was looking forward to this drama. On top of that I really enjoyed Ethan’s acting in Legend of Fuyao so how can it turned out so bad? I watched to episode 13 and can no longer justify the time I am wasting on this drama. Mismatched FL for Ethan 😳then where do I start with the actress who played Elise? And all the couples were flat with absolutely zero to little chemistry. Very disappointed ☹️
