Thank you for your kind words to Esther. I was a casual fan turned real fan after what she went through in 2025. I have watched LBFAD and liked it but I watched a lot of dramas. End of 2024 I watched LGIEG and I really liked her acting in it and started watching her other dramas. In 2025 after the success of LGIEF she started getting a lot of hate and constant harassment with unfounded rumors about bullying and her family business. This came from one particular fandom. It got so bad as they would spammed live streams of brands Esther supports, of her colleagues and anyone who wanted to defend her. Both her father and her started suing many of those individuals and many cases are still waiting to be heard. Due to this harassment she lost a high budget costume drama as the hate intensified. She picked herself up and single handedly negotiated a new drama that she is currently filming. She had a birthday concert in December 25 and same fandom reported her and demanded it to be cancelled. The government had to came out and confirmed she has not done anything wrong to be black listed. For the accusation of her father’s company the guy who posted all the materials has deleted all of them and currently being sue by Esther’s father with the court case pending. The girl who said Esther bullied her in the show also let it slipped during her livestream that she made the whole thing up. However the damage was done and I suspected this is why SAL never got promoted properly because iQIYI didn’t think it would have done so well due to Esther’s reputation in the Mainland. Due to all the above reasons I would defend her if anyone comes here just to spread hates on this girl. I understand people have different tastes and all actors have room for improvement but she is a human being and doesn’t deserve all this hate and bullying. All her costars adore her and always give positive feedback about her. I hope 2026 will be a better year for her!
