"What a tangled web we weave" is the perfect phrase for this courtroom drama. Though sometimes convoluted, the…
It's usually the stiff and boring performance of many young male actors in leading roles that destroys the chemistry. The best actors and characters were the fl and her team, and the ml's school friends (particularly the actress who played the fl character in 'I Picked Up a Celebrity on the Road'). Young actors like the ml are casted to attract teenagers and young women, despite limited talent. (In 'All of Us Are Dead' they even casted a whole bunch of such stiff actors, except for the villain who delivered an outstanding performance)

Its Joo Won. Im gonna watch this.
In 'Alice' he delivered one of the worst performances I've ever seen from a South Korean actor.

The ml is one of the worst South Korean actors who ruined entire series with his Hollywood-like acting.

why theres only 2 eps on netflix
It's not a Netflix production. In my country, Germany, Netflix released the first 2 eps last weekend, as well as ep 3 and 4 of 'Alchemy of Souls'. Today Netflix released ep 7 and 8 of 'Extraordinary Attorney Woo'. Yesterday the first 2 eps of 'Forecasting Love and Weather'. And this Friday Netflix Germany starts with 'Twenty-five Twenty-one', a series by some people in other countries probably considered old already.

I'm in episode 2 but decided to come here and read some comments after seeing the very low rating it has. So far…
Most negative comments are not from serious critics but K-Pop fans who can't differentiate between a great and an average performance or show. If the cast of this show would have been full of stiff and boring puppies, like in 'All of Us Are Dead', then it would all of a sudden not matter how "unrealistic" the show is. I'm into Korean movies and series for a long time to not take that K-Pop freaks serious

Agreed! I rewatched this show 2 times and it's still entertaining. It's also refreshing to watch a show without the usual, stiff puppy in the role of the male lead character

It's the ml who ruined this show. from the beginning he's annoying and delivers one of the worst performances ever

It's the miscast male lead and other actors who ruined this show. The actresses are good. As often in KDramas it's the "good-looking" ml actors who ruin entire series.

it gets waaay better since in the start the ML is new to everything from crime, gambling, and prison life but…
There are rarely annoying female characters in Korean shows, but a bunch of annoying male characters (and overhyped, young actors). The responsibilities lie on director and scriptwriter. But saying "annoying fl" comes mostly from females, gays and viewers unfamiliar with KDramas and Korean culture in general.

The fl was the highlight. In fact it's the 2 male leads that always have the same annoying expression (compare this with Touch your Heart and Guardian, in all cases the female leads saved the shows)

My main reason to watch this show was bc of the female lead. MLs in KDramas are used to lure girls and women (just like in KPop with third-rate bands like BTS). Artistically Kdramas would be nothing without the many great actresses.

just finished this. i hate to say this but netflix doesn't disappoint, they nv fail to make good dramas. wth man.…
Juvenile Justice is an amazing show. I proudly don't give a damn about the "opinion" of self-proclaimed experts or netizens. It's well written and executed. Not a single episode disappointed. This show has a high rewatch value.

Kingdom still the best, Train to Busan next, first seasons of Walking Dead were ok. Not a fan of high school dramas…
I've re-watched it 3 times. Still great and entertaining for this genre. Compared to it, TWD is total crap, particularly the typically -for U.S. actors/actresses- horrible acting.

Another one pretending to be a hot-shot expert. In real life, we wouldn't act much different under such circumstances. I mean, you'll can't even handle the Covid-19 crisis. Some viewers were annoyed by the mother looking out for her kid, for example, but every parent who loves and cares for his/her child/ren acts on instinct. That's human. As for some decisions made by coming-of-age kids, in real life many people, particularly in first world countries, ain't even grown up in their twenties. If you watch series/movies out of South Korea only to find every minor thing to complain about, then I recommend sticking to Hollywood trash, where you can find endless plotholes, bad acting, no character development, and stupid and boring storylines even illiterates can write.

If you don't understand that there are parents who love, care and worry about their children too, then I feel sorry for you. Some commentators here and on imdb think they can deal better with such a situation, yet they can't even handle the Covid-19 crisis. Those who don't understand the struggle are as ignorant and egoistic as the government, particularly that military douchebags.

I wanted to add that I get the feeling that we are putting higher expectations on Netflix productions than other shows outta South Korea. I've expected nothing from series like 'Shadow Beauty', 'Happiness' or 'Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo' and was positively surprised. Such shows are usually the first I recommend.

I can hear you. But it's a fact that many people in the West wouldn't watch great, new series like 'School 2021', 'Shadow Beauty', 'Happiness', 'Chimera', 'The King's Affection', 'Melancholia' or 'Inspector Koo'. Why is that so? Because it's storytelling, meaning many scenes might be too slow for those spoiled by Hollywood. Moreover, they judge based on a few Netflix productions (like 'My Name' or 'Hellbound'). During the height of the Squid Game hype I've read many comments on social media, mocking about the Korean language or the Korean style of overacting-even though the worst overacting is the American one. It's just a cultural clash. People should at least admit it.

On imdb it's worse. One Hollywood troll gave it 2/10 2 hours after premiering?! 8 episodes @ 40 minutes in 2 hours?! Let that sink
