Slow burn romantic drama "Golden Pouch" is my choice, the on-screen chemistry between Dr. Han Seok Hoon (portrayed by actor Jin Yi Han/Kim Ji Han) and Miss Geum Seol Hwa (portrayed by actress Ryu Hyo Young) is amazing and unrivaled. They look wonderful together in "Golden Pouch". Wish MBC/KBS would pair them up again in an epic historical or a romantic drama series soon.

Yes, indeed, in episodes 108 to 122 Dr. Han Seok Hoon's intense pain in loving Geum Seol Hwa is so intense. A palpable sense of losing Seol Hwa to the circumstances that do not permit them to get married, It is difficult and painful scenes to watch. In my opinion, the ending is inconclusive, no kiss, no wedding. Wish MBC would make "Golden Pouch" season II to conclude the story.

It will be the talented actor Mr. Jin Yi Han with his deep trained theatrical voice.

Love that tender lingering eye contact that Hyun Shi Woon always gazes at Han Geu Roo, they develop a beautiful on-screen chemistry. It would break my heart if the Abeoji and Eomeoni do not approve Sang Min's proposal for marrying Ga Eun, they look so comfortable with each other. The sweet on-screen chemistry is undeniable. Their youthful robust energy is so infectious and keep the audience in good mood and comforting.

"Golden Pouch" is my all time favourite drama, salute to all cast, director and screenwriter. Bravo, bravo, bravo.

I totally concur with you regarding "Forced main couple or no-chemistry main couple". It is annoying/frustrating to watch onscreen no-chemistry lead characters K-drama series. I must say your observation on "Love triangles, love squares and basically unnecessary love complications" is pretty accurate. But they make the K-drama series interesting and painful to watch.
