Episode 10 was beautiful. ML opening up was really sad and the support of FL and the image of the child ML in her hands was exceptionally both heartwarming and heartbreaking. We are yet to see how FL reacts to the emotional load she received and the phone thingy at the end of the episode was probably a decoy from her to convince her mom. Can't wait for the final week.
There is no true separation when you had a life together for a decade.
Isn't life like this? Most people are opportunistic, if you are soft they will take advantage of you. If he is being used it is becuase he is letting them. In some of them he is getting something in return (like cheap rent) in some he is not. Everybody is like that.
Enjoyable and entertaining up to now. I wouldn't bash ML's decision, I understand him, and my heart goes out to him, that said, I wouldn’t criticize FML too much either, since she simply didn't know what was going on and ML didn't share anything. As it shows ML is the type of person to wall up probably from past trauma which will be revealed later. The rest of the cast is pretty good too. The only bothering thing for me is the SML, I find him way too creepy. Who just dates his friend's ex (worse in that being ex-wife) and is casual about it. He accepts her without question. I know it is usually the white knight dream type of guy, but he doesn't fit in with the leads, their struggles are too real and he is just too "fantasy". He would be a walking red flag in real life. Let's see what happens.
I think this was one of the saddest things I have watched. You kinda get a hint in the first episode when the daughter mentions ML as FL's ex-boyfriend and based on that you would think you are about to watch a romance drama. Make no mistake, this is an extremely heartbreaking melodrama disguised as romance.
The storytelling is empathetic to the struggles of life in a non-fanatical way making it easy to relate to characters and their hardships and their choices. There is good rhythm throughout the episodes, not too fast or too slow, and there is no jitter between the stories. They did an exceptional job.
As the story progresses with time jumps, you pretty much know what's coming and yet it will break your soul. It will definitely hit hard. I paused a lot in the last three episodes to gather myself and continue. I need time to emotionally recover.
I don't know if you should watch this, but I would have watched it if I were you. It is a hard watch, I am not going to sugarcoat it. Some scenes are very daunting and emotionally taxing. Yet, this series made me reflect on my early 20s and reminded me to resolve some issues I still carry with me.
Congratulations to the team who made this, it was a pretty different comedy series, maybe not the cup of tea of everyone yet still took risks in its making.
People are divided by the acts of ML and FML, which are understandable. I guess shit will hit the fan in the next two episodes where PD will use the ML's past incident in the show.
If anything I am annoyed at the ML. He asked if she wanted a friend or romantic interest and she said friend.…
As I said in another comment, the FML request was vulgar and they didn't have time to discuss the underlying reason for the act. He was taken aback and I can think of a sane way to react in such a situation.

p.s. I can't get over how FL is 32 but looks 16.
