overrall the drama was a great watch for me. the story i can't deny had its potholes but i think as a viewer i was not left hanging with questions at the end. every role from the main to almost every supporting role was played to perfection, emoting really well. overall, after a long time, i actually completed a drama without going straight to the ending.
stumbled upon this just a couple of days ago when it was added to Netflix. It is definitely an underrated gem of a show. What i always like of Japanese dramas...on point with its purpose... it's different from the current ones whereby each ep goes on for about 45 mins...this show although longer for every ep, every scene is worth every moment shown... a must watch
The FL is really cute and brought such a sincere adorableness out of the character. She and Koshiba Fuka san look so alike even in their mannerisms. It's a wonderful drama and i hope it'll stay endearing till the last episode
Another well paced, simple but lovely drama. i adored the anime and this was suprsingly so well adapted into live action... never a dull moment. i can't seem to ever get bored of watching Jdramas , even when i binge watch so many....
Couldnt stop the minute i began watching ep 1. Natural acting and not over the top scenes even during the fight with the high school kids. every scene was a delight to watch and not a waste of time. Chemistry was very cute despite the 10-year gap between the lead characters. A reason why i keep going back to Jdramas. Short eps but tells the entire story and even teaches you something in the process.
Somehow the drama worked for me for their natural acting and fantastic chemistry. The background is one of the best i have come across, my personal favourite being the one that appears whenever the evil lady appears. goosebumps one gets when that music appears in the background.
finally, wetv releases the final ep with eng subs. superb ending. cramming 4 eps in one ep was remarkably done.
Akaso san - put him in any attire and he slips into that character so well, even for a short scene. Those cute and full of expression eyes of his must be doing all the acting.
Thanks to this cute drama, i was introduced to Akaso san's and Fuka san's other dramas/movies. Great actors with bright futures. Will be looking forward to the main casts' future dramas.
A cute ending to a fun drama. Chemistry was great amongst all the cast.
Rom-coms like these are best made in such length and total of episodes. since i watched Cherry Magic tonnes of times before deciding to just give this fluff a go, it was like watching Eiji san play Kurosawa and the FL as Adachi... So many scenes were so similar, that i would laugh, reminded of the same in Cherry Magic ... they both acted really well...not over the top
The mains leads have fantastic chemistry, without having to overact or overexpressing. Hope they act in another rom-com in the future. just a few and non-lengthy scenes of them both were cute enough to showcase that
just began watching and into ep 7. it's really good. but can't help but agree with some comments here on how every law student of that university is somehow connected to the murder victim and even some of the lecturers, prosecutors etc. It's like a food chain/web of predators and victims in a single habitat. that aside, the story development is really good so far. every ep keeps you at your seat -not allowing you to leave until an ep ends.
Started this drama today and after two episodes I like what's happening here more than the Korean version even…
Totally agree with your insight. although new to dramas (both countries), i see that they have very distinct methods of producing dramas. Hence, this drama shows that as well. I loved the original due to their depth of every character shown in a fun wat, hence the more and lengthier eps. I loveee this remake because of the more deep character portrayals , great acting and when they are apologetic for every act of theirs, especially the ML. In conclusion, both countries have done justice to the original and remake based on their years of drama producing in their own methods. Japanese version able to compress everything in only 10eps and in less time by focusing on the crucial parts is very commendable.
Thanks to all those who posted the RAW links. At least I can watch the ep before the eng sub one today. Fuka san's crying after chasing Risa was so real...the sobs and shaking were so realistic that I ended up tearing up with them both. Really hope to see more of Fuka san in rom-coms.
into the 5th episode and certainly brings back a lot of memories of 80s/90s tokusatsu (only found out the term recently)... a real fun watch ...the plot is quite engaging too
Nothing like a short but endearing Japanese drama. As a new viewer of both kdramas and jdramas, I understand why I have yet to drop a japanese drama midway but I have with several kdramas. the ratings of kdramas might exceed all jdramas on MDL (i presume due to the difficulty for international viewers to watch a regular underrated jdrama on any popular streaming sites), japanese dramas I believe is able to place great acting, a wonderful plot flow, values, beautiful and extremely serene dialogues in a less than 10 ep drama so successfully.
This drama is no exception. Available on NETFLIX, it was one of those dramas that incorporated all of the above, like most Jdramas but had its special parts that can only be felt when you have completed it. Simple yet sweet.
it's hard to put my finger on it, but I have yet to feel disappointed after watching a Japanese drama. one thing I'm sure of is, I love the language and the courteous, apologetic, and non-egoistic nature shown in all their dramas and dialogues. It's music to my ears and places you in a happy place.
Akaso Eiji san can act!!! He says everything by just emoting. He was great in every scene in Cherry Magic and he does it here too....the last scene on ep 7 just can't explain his acting in words... This guy can go far, with any role, given that he is really young too....
It's really just a healing drama. The thriller is supposed to show a possible outcome of someone who was abused…
you were on point with your opinion.. after ep16 and the recollection of the previous eps, it is a healing drama ...with beautiful cinematography, great casts, apt OST...all that said even the ending was serene... i wouldn't give it a full rating but between a 7.5 to 8 for just making one smile at the end of it...
After episode 15, I'm not sure where the creators were heading entirely with this drama...s apart from all the casts' great performances, I can't really place my finger on the exact genre and outcome of this drama.. i just felt dizzy all of a sudden as I was watching through ep 15.... I might be wrong coz maybe there is a deeper and more profound understanding of the plot that i missed to see
Akaso san - put him in any attire and he slips into that character so well, even for a short scene. Those cute and full of expression eyes of his must be doing all the acting.
