You are right about the underdeveloped 2nd and 3rd CP, the author didn't even break up her assistant and the soldier or doctor guy properly because jumping to the actor guy. The story needed Indepth as you have said. I'm looking forward to what iQiyu will do with this one.

They changed the storyline? Why would they do that? I love the novel, although slow, I love a shy male lead and a proactive female lead. They better not ruin it too much. The novel was perfect.
