Exactly my thoughts, the director and editor really tried, you don't want to miss a scene be you might skip a point. It's a solid Happy ending for me. I don't even want to see Qiyan's back, it would have been too overdramatic.

CHENG RUOYU has a place in my heart forever and ever!

If not for anything else, put some Respect on CHENG RUOYU'S name. With everything that's going on around her, she didn't for once get tainted. She neither scheme nor desire power. She's top 1 on my favourite character this year. Gone through a lots of betrayer this year that I appreciate CHENG RUOYU'S character so much and I AM JEALOUS! So Jealous, I also want her for myself.

No it didn't flop. The drama never left top 5 through out it airing.

I'm sad this drama is ending, I don't know who to give my flowers to anymore 😭😭😭.

So here's my own point, she was at the wine shop and they were all discussing, from her demeanor at the point you know she's happy not sad or mourning, you know like her lover died she should be mourning but her body language doesn't show that. Then at a second she zoned out and said "did you hear, want you want is finally realised" she was talking in present tense, if he had died, she would have probably said " Did you hear that, what you wanted had been finally realised" she answered a customer and looked outside, her face showed she saw someone she knew and that was a big smile for welcoming someone, "like, oh you are finally here" So her smile at the end shows that she's happy to see the person coming in. It's just a kind of imaginative something knowing the kind of person Qiyan was, he won't die for nothing.

Depends on what type of ending you want? It shows someone entering her wine shop and was smiling to the person, they all say it's Qiyan because she never said what Qiyan wanted had been realised. It's Happy ending
