Maybe because the GSJ or his "little brother" didn't show any respect to the current SW. By not respecting him or challenging the family rule first(because by saying they don't want GYU as SW who was chosen by following the family rule), it means they have to bend the rules because they are put in an uncomfortable situation where 2 lineages don't respect or take the current SW seriously.

Just realised the reason why the twin battle was so awkward might be because of edit, they had to edit out the girl, meaning they needed new content to fill up the space, because after the battle was over you kinda love the twins at the end.

I understand what you mean, she never left(the show was pre-recorded, so they had to edit her out), it was so hard to watch at the beginning because you can clearly see someone is there if the edited version of the season showed her presence that much, it means she was a very important person to the whole story. But from my view, I started to focus less and less on her after ep 5-7, when most of the cast arrived.
I feel sorry for the cast especially her partner in the show, he seems like a great guy from his interaction with every other team member, and how he didn't have any other interest in other women.
I wish there were an unedited version of the show we could all watch.
