I like your idea, but that ending would be too "normal" and coherent for this drama.
Although I am known to be imaginative, but my scenario is the best which I could produce. 😄
It might take decades for Lucia to forgive and accept Seri as her biological daughter. Or Lucia might never be able to forgive Seri at all. So I thought it is not feasible for Seri to be Lucia's daughter.
As my hope that Seri is indeed Gyeongchae's biological daughter is crushed and burnt, I have another hope..... that Seri baby and Gyeongchae's baby were swapped by a nurse's mistake. Gyeongchae's baby died later.
