This was emotionally exhausting. It was grim, dark, and bleak. Contrary to popular opinion, I did like this season. Park Sung Hoon, Im Si Wan, Jo Yu Ri, and Kang Ae Sim better get acting nominations.
OMG Edward Chen, one of my favorite movie is Your Name Engraved Herein, he is a good actor and an outspoken ally of my community 🏳️🌈. Extraordinary You is also a K-drama I enjoyed so the stars aligned for me. Excited to watch this.
I am just sad that this is the outcome of one of my favorite BL manhwas, I was so excited because the manhwa truly helped my little queer teenage heart. The drama itself is not bad, Heesu and Seungwon is still are interesting characters but I understand the criticism and backlash. I really thought this drama would become really popular due to the popularity of the source material, but I guess that was just wishful thinking. I do hope, a more faithful adaptation could come along the way but who knows? Still kudos, to the actors for being a part of this show.
In the webtoon his best friend is not bi. Maybe they changed it for this but in the source material he's not.
Chan Young is bisexual. He has a cameo in another author's work set in the same universe (also a BL) as Heesu In Class 2 (Because also Heesu and Seungwon are seen in the background in 1 of the chapters) and in there he is the blind date of the MC and he comes out as bisexual.
So happy for Gi Chan, working alongside Oscar Nominated actress Lily Gladstone, Oscar Winner Youn Yuh Jung, popular comedians and actresses Joan Chen, Bowen Yang, and Kelly Marie Tran is so huge and amazing. Hopefully this opens more doors for him.
The trailer was ok. I don't know if it's the editing, and also I would like it to be a little brighter or something. It makes me sad that they insisted on making Jiyu and Chanyoung as a couple when they were just friends in the manhwa. By the way, Chanyoung is bisexual as he made a cameo in the author's other BL work set in the same universe where he went to a blind date with the MC.
