I prepare to have the same fright like Thai omnibus like 4bia or even the scary 3 am but in here each story didnt have any link to one into another.The story good, like the 1st story about a married couple who want revenge to another married couple with child because their own was dead because 2nd married couple hit and run. I see the internal conflict of the husband 1st couple. Their actors and actresses act were great I can see their despair, contempt, afraid like real.
But I can see the directors and screenwriter effort and I appreciate that~~

First of all let's clapped for the live action~~They can air this despite the tight new rules Chinese censorship....
Story:
You cant expect the same essence as the novel because not only they are gore but the homosexual content strictly banned. The epic battle that I wish to see between Nie MingJue vs Wen Ning they just pass it. Well they 80% follow the novel, in my opinion.
Acting:
For the first 10 episode they cant entice me, the main leads acting not consistent and the chemistry none but when it come to 11 until the end they build it up but somehow they still cant do a detail acting in some scenes. Luckily the teacher who play Jin Guanyao aka A-Yao portray him perfectly his mannerism, face details. He could bring almost all of us despise him and the actor who portray my baby Huaisang too. Good Job Guys
Music and Costume:
I love all the bgm and ost when I see the anime, flute music to summon dark energy still eerie. The ost sang by most of the main cast. The costume are okay it just what the H with the headband~~~
PS: I just realize the main bad guys in here Xue Yang and A-Yao so beautiful. Both have full eyebrows and long and pretty eyelashes plus their eyes too beautiful, damn~~ As a women I feel threaten teacher Zhu Zanjin and Wang Haoxuan beautiful face could ruin a kingdom, kkkkkk

A suprise for novel reader.b
When they announced to make judge lee hanyoung, I'm kinda worry because the novel is superb, every chapters are action and logic packed. Not every one can acted as Lee Hanyoung. He nonchalant, a no nonsense and sometimes unserious, androgynous, cute and every move represent justice. He is dead, being framed by Kang Shijin because he didnt want to rigged the verdict, different from the live action.I think Jisung being picked because he can represent 2 face of Lee Hanyoung and one of the chapter in novel describe Hanyoung confidence that he can charm all gender. He cosplay as a highschool girl tease the collage student especially male; when S.Korea have a national sportday, one of the victim is our prosecutor Park. It nice Jisung recommended to cast few of his running squad mate to stared in this drama.
Most of the villain here usually play as good guy or protagonist, meanwhile the good guy like chief judge Baek Yiseok mostly play as villain. Bravo 👏🏻 👏🏻 👏🏻 👏🏻
I like the detail they put for emphasise the characters, Lee Hanyoung outfit to show his and our prosecutor Park pale face because of overtime he did to investigated cases. Baek Yiseok and Hanyoung potrayal are the most tricky. Both of them have a tall and muscular stature describe as tiger and bear like.
Our journalist play by Baek Jinhee and idiotic but progress into a capable one (wish they make it gradually from chubby into thin not instantly like this) and Hanyoung past life wife Oh Seehee potray so beautiful. Most of the project the female character force into a career driven one or childish plus over sexualizing them. But in here they being respected, like they are real people not just a fantasise one. Well most of the male actor here are married and have daughter. For the acting all the cast perfectly potray their character.
The plot OMG they stick to the novel; Thanks GOD....
The car scene at last they really do it not using a cgi background, I'm sick of it, action scene but using cgi background not real one.
Waiting if they going to finish whole novel in just one season or extended it.

Clap clap another all around perfect score which be an en 2018 and opening 2019 drama review from me.I got this drama info when i do browse Youtube and found Avenuex jie did a review which one was contain about this drama. Got hooked I do research a history background this drama plot and be amazed. This definitely a most beautiful and realistic drama I ever watch.
The plot OMG, it did pang my heart when research about condition 1978's china which I called an economic crazed. In the timeline of plot China (or years before that, 1966or so) did have TONS of cultural reform which would influence them to have a capitalism restoration and the one Chairman Mao fears. In the story Song Yun Hui family was a non pro social-democration which resulted him couldnt be accepted into an university even he is a number 1 in entire country, but he fight and accepted. Another 2 main characters, Lei Dongbao and Yang Xun struggle with their own destiny like being limited access of knowledge and business struggle. The actors who potray those characters are the best, because not only act but they did put 100% on the project like Wang Kai who did dieting and become a super super skinny. Not only the casting but the line of PDs are awesome Kong Sheng is the one who gave the success of Nirvana in Fire and Ode to Joy plus he did have work with Wang Kai 2 time and this is the third one.
The costumes, shooting places are so detail which I like that, the green scenery on first episode so good. The music and I love they did not use the dubbing system like those other drama which I love it so much, I do love the real sound of wind, their footsteps even I could hear their own sound.
It so much weight and hard to understand if you dont focus since it based on real life situation on that period plus it divide into 2 parts, right now which airing is part one and have 47 episode.

AT LAST. GOOD PLOT, GREAT ACTING and Solid Coroners and Detective steps
As criminal and xianxia genre lover I have been malnourished by inadequate a good piece of work cdrama land gave us. I see the line up drama that will aired 2025 there is Coroner's Diary, it hype me more since I read the synopsis and know all the casts are good actors and actresses.The lets begin our review. The plots is classical "To Avenge the Wrong that be fallen into the family which result being hunted and fake an identity." Li Landy's family being hunted because her father handle a sensitive case involved a royal. Both parents and her parent acquaintance Mr Qin; Qinlang death because they are "canon fooder" to throne politics. She then assumed Mr Qin's daughter identity; Qin Wan which I deduce both Shen Wan and Qin Wan are met at Medicine Valley. She then steel herself up and investigate. For to do that she then use a nephew of Emperor, Yan Chi which played by our baby Ao Rui Peng. Both Yan Chi and Qin Wan using each other for the same case.
For the acting Li Landy is a solid remember when she play as a women that can change identity because of a bracelet, from there we can see she can hold the character and delivered to use like she is Qin Wan not Li Landy's acting as Qin Wan. For Ao Ruipeng he has solid acting all the details are on points but somehow his agency have muddled headed person to pick a good project. From an idol drama to this project if he isnt solid, he would be shredded by drama critics hyenas. My dissatisfaction is Ao Ruipeng VA, I know it will be impossible for him to voice himself because Ao Ruipeng voice's type is light not good for Xianxia type like Tan Jianci, Yuning gege etc. Seeing Ruipeng topless make my heart hurt, he is so skinny after watch topless Xiao Zhan and actor who played as Zhuang Xingxing in Zang Hai, Wang Anyu; they are slim but buffed muscles. The first case murderer is the Word of Honor's actor that last villain that hunt Jade key to immortality. His acting superb.
As usual I hate the lighting that emphasise how ML fall with FL; the light behind the FL that blinded us all. Why they keep using an outdated kdrama technique, aigoooo.....
The costumes are awesome they are muted but cant cover that most of them represent a wealth of the wearers plus its so elegance.
The music placement so far help us to keep the plot up.
Its the initial 6eps, I will keep posting the further review.

Small, Simple but WOW
I surf to see is there any short drama that worth my time, and luckyly this drama become the first pick.No need intricate plot just story about well adorn and praise female general that being thrown and blacken after her services. Many despise short drama but they sure forget few actors and actresses being known to public now using this route like our sad and comedy slapstick Queen Bai Lu, Zhu Yutong, Song Weilong and many more.
The design charcters maybe full of flaws but it well reason, why they moves, thinking and aura they ouze at certain point it become their characteristic like our Shifu, Mo Wang, Mo Qingchuan aka Mo General. She is crippled by enemy that need her to moves slowly but embodied a graceful of a teacher, advisor and general.
Our Jing Wang, Xia Qiguang; a teenager that must face harsh world suddenly because his parent being hunted and hurt by the opposing side, which we can gradually watch his growth and last our Jiang Kui. The actress made me worry because past roles she took resulted to death like in The Double Wu Jingyan. Jiang Kui potray as a naive and bright teen but has awesome Wugong and Qingong because she being hurt at childhood by Xia kingdom enemy by capture and torture her. To retain her sanity she masked it as we can see through our lense.
The costume they pick maybe not much but each colours represent their personality. Mo Qingchuan the General wear a bright colours like white and red because she still has hope to the world, meanwhile she as Mo Wang wear mostly grey, white and black because she no longer optimistic and despise the world injustice. The Queen Dowager heavyly implied to real Empress Wu Zetian. Her family hold power in court and rot the foundation of Xia kingdome. Her Gold attires not only represent that she is royals but greed.
The camera work good despite a low budget drama. The actors and actresses pull their weight to build the plot so we dont feel the acting weird. Their eyes can act even the druged assasin an empty and childlike can be see trough by us. No need a dramatic 360 or 180 degree rotate like other project to tell us, but a straight and play on pan out pan it between scene, it more than enough.
For the OST and BGM yeah you cant expect it will be grande but placement quiet good for me. It help retain the climatic story to us.

Noir drama that keep us hooked without knowing.
Maybe you all will not believe I gave all a round perfect star for story, cast, music etc.It just such a long long long time South Korea did a pure one on those genre, based on child which happend only on big screen like the one Bae Doona eonni took. Just on story itself this drama did ensure their winning, all character have their own past base story which made them do like that, even I who usually get whose the criminal and plotline did lost because their are tons of possibility that happend in here.
The cast from Kim Sunah who get a title of queen of romcom from her previous drama with Hyunbin (My lovely Sam Soon) did a pure genre of these thriller, criminal, etc which drained the actor energy to potray the character, which maybe she did train in Woman's Dignity. Our Lee Yikyung first male lead role *congratulation(if you ruled out Yoo Mi's Room) after countles of supporting character like bully student in School 2013 (our Woobin and Jongsuk oppa deul), young version in Nine, You, Who came from star as the killer's secretary, and Descendant of Sun as contractor worker which made him into a stardome limelight. Nam Gyuri (49days) and N which his acting become more and more better even leap into B class actor after the disaster Sassy Go Go even when the story was good. More of it all the children actor and actress sure did a very good job (cant wait for them grow up like Nam Dareum and do pick a lot of good pieces in drama and movie or another job in variety or such) It make us believe the PD, Screenwriter did their homework for made a plausible story and casting a good actor which sync perfectly into their assigned roles.
Drama set, vehicle, even their costumes will not like your usual drama which a lot of kind ppl scene, this drama is 99,99% art drama. Not so glamorous, pricey (even the real one those are cost us for fasting in months).
Music too sure, keep us being creep as the msytery happen etc. Only a total detective and such will love this kind of story so for others who cant handle it should not watch it because it's not your pinky pinky love story and such plus bit of humour like in Son, The Guest, its total dark drama.

Root for Yijun but Fall in Love with the Series
As the taq says, I watch this because I want to support Wang Yijun after he bravely go to YG but they dissapointed him by closer their YG Stage dept and they didnt do a good job to secure a nice project, only his own team do the work.Have 0 expectation with the series and just treat it as a brain cleanser after watching dozen brain wrecking drama.
The reason why this is good in my opinion
• At first ep they splurged it with resident evil, gotham, vampire like esque with F&F influence on car scene; btw I like the rough breathing scene when Xie being arrested (I know how perverted I am), that hooked me up. After ep 3, I do really said it out loud the Japanese meme when shocked; eh?! Eh??!! EH?!!!! EH~~~~. The vibe change into ABO, bl vibes (baidu even name rank place our 1, 2 and 3 ML in credit rolled after that our FLs), 50 shades of Grey and 365, plus My Demon scene too. Please do watch it when the door close this is a borderline NSFW which so rare in Chinese drama.
I dont agree when people mocking Youku because in my mind they are great streaming app. Just like Shao Nian Ge Xing, Legend of Zang Hai, Falling Into Your Smile which being judge as failure but they insist to air even put them ahead of schedule. Of course still hate when they stop airing Silent Reading because of BP member photo scandal (hope they just edit the scene and continue it).
• No need to think just cruising and chilax. Good for date course and serve as chicken blood; romantic inuedo. A lot of scene potray a smexy inuedo here, like octopus, dragon etc.
• Fake car scene that I approve since we know the plot is a nonsense.
• Maybe their overall acting not so good but, darling~~ I told you, they care about detail in acting. Eyes, face, and body movement of them can seduce you. Cui laoshi played as ML his eyes, so damn killing. He look like Lee Joon when he played a suspected serial killer in Gap Dong. Our ML is brown because sometimes he is green like forest but also red like forest fire. His body is buff too which rare in the industry, DANG!!!!!. Meanwhile my fav Wang Yijun he really has a survivor mental after the reason I write above. The tall and lanky stature potray his charcter the best, Mr. Wu is twisted but good. When you watching with teenager/kids please do advice them not to copy the scene and teach them survival instinct and act. FL can fight ML when he pint her but she just Oh LORD~~~ in real life situation she is the 1st to die.
•Makeup, hairdo and costume buffing their character setting like our ML Xie his everyday wear 20's something old man wear and sometimes so beasty, meanwhile Wang Yijun played our Mr. Wu his clotch are so rigid and pristine knowing not only he is an older brother but a leader in his work.
• The OSTs 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 I love it hyping the scene especially a romance one.
If I resume, the drama is rare as jade in drama land. Lack of logic plot and nonsense didnt bother me at all which I always roasting until crispy like chips. Just need to endure another 10 eps to conclude my review
