Yup, I loved Ming Lan too. You also can try Dream of Splendor, Story of Yanxi Palace, Under the Power or Sword and Brocade.
For yanxi palace, even the emperor has many wives/concubine, I like the way FL tugs at her relationship with the emperor.

i watch L n P, but sometimes skip some scenes because i can't stand the evil GJH. maybe because I'm too weak hearted ;)
I watched Love between too, but I'm not fan drama with xianxia theme. I prefer historical with a light theme.

Loved every element in this drama. NO overbearing coldness Ceo-ML, NO silly childness FL, NO toxic mother/father in law(I hope), even they have pretty good relationship with their ex girl/boy friend so far (up to eps 13).
Finally in the end of this year I found good series, because since LLTG over, I can't find a drama that keeps me hooked and never skip every scene/eps. lastly there is only a Familiar Stranger web series.

finally after LLTG, I found C-series where every scene is worth to watching. To bad its just a web series. I want 45 min version

We are in same boat. Xianxia's formula is almost alway the same. I prefer historical drama romance like story of minglan, story of yanxi palace, autumn ballad, a dream of splendor, one and only, and of course the masterpiece Love like the galaxy

True. I stopped at 24, waiting until full eps release. If become sad/hanging ending, I never continued the last of eps.

I stopped watching autumn in episode 23. waited until it was full of episodes. Hopes get happy ending.

Thanks God it's CN drama not Korean drama or Thai drama. Imagine must count day by day, time to time waiting new eps. The last Korean drama i watched was Red Sleeve, and it almost 'killed' me while waiting for new eps to be released every week . F4 Thai version is even 'worse', only 1 eps per week

In eps 14, when old nie found out the truth about his grandson and cried, I too started to shed a tears, until then he started talking about the plan to take pingping from TJ's hand. What the heck!!!
