yeah the biggest thing I can't stand in this drama is adding Xiao Wu character, it was suppose to be about FL and ML opposite dynamic, but instead we got FL and ML scene for like maybe 50% of the drama and the other 50% is all Xiao Wu.
I went into this thinking it'll be a starcross lover from parallel world drama, turn out nope the drama is 90% focus their family dynamic 5% friendship and maybe 5% actual romantic love, ML is barely important in the drama if you take him out nothing would've change, feel like this is more of a slice of life drama than romance.

idk why but ML is so boring to me, people find it cute that he's super anti-social but he's so uninteresting as a character, maybe cuz its the same archetype being done over and over again.
My thought so far in the show (ep5), Chunchun she seem like such a bright girl but as the show continue you can see that she's extremely insecure, with the way she react when Fengfeng talks to other female guest, she's also very indecisive, which might make people misunderstand that she's stringing LinLin and Fengfeng along, I don't think she meant any harm, but the longer she prolong this the more people she might hurt (Feng, Lin, Didi), it's frustrating to watch because Im onlny watching for her,
Fengfeng he seem like a very confident person, he respectful and know his and other's boundaries, he reject someone immediately if he have no interest in them, I like his straightforwardness.
Linlin.... I really didn't like him at first, he was so rude and inconsiderate of other people feelings, I get that he might just be awkward and doesn't know how to express his feeling but he's not a teenager, anyway he did grow on me in ep 5, he was very sweet too Chunchun

Xinxia isn't my cup of tea either, its always really long episodes of unnecessary drama with 40+ eps, and its the same plot line recycle over and over again, BUT I do like this drama, mainly because I'm an avid Esther Yu fan, I also like that the ML is a villain, and they did good with the concept art and the overall design/visual of the drama is gorgeous. I agree that it kinda fell off in the end, but the story and the actors chemistry is too cute not to like tbh
