Those type is the most hateful, honestly when I start watching any of his drama it only for his acting but usually end up liking his characters because his portrayal makes the character more real.

No one forced you to watch it, just go and rewatch Xiang Liu’s scenes. Just because you liked XL doesn’t mean you liked the actor himself. If you prefer that kind of "superman" character, there are plenty of others out there. Yes, Chinese dramas are restricted due to the CCP, but that doesn’t mean they can’t create good stories within the limitations they have. What I appreciate about him is that he dares to explore a variety of character types. Not everyone likes Xiang Liu’s archetype, and some may not enjoy reverse harem stories enough to give LYF a chance.
