He could have just acted the character according to the script, but he searched more, so he can empathaize with him. Then SPL fans will come claiming that GY is his most favorite character, cause he lost 15 kg for him and he would've been his first role as male lead etc. He love all his character not just GY.
Ru Shou is the most level headed and mature young man in the drama. A Nian, though spoiled I like that she show her emotions without lying. She loves CX and choose to be with him but didn't become delusional and except him to reciprocate. Her bond with Xiao Yao is cute and heartwarming. To be honest I wanted her to like XL 🫣 Not only the story is interesting, also the complexity of the characters even side characters don't just serve as plot device.
