This is an aspect where I think TQ was written inconsistently. In several scenes he comes off as if he likes to be „dominated“, but in several other scenes he comes off as the contrary. I feel whenever Tong Hua wanted a comedic effect for TQ she would write him „weak“ and nerdy, but TQ the sleuth, and their scenes together in his house, their kiss, the arc with invisible SCC and him investigating again… also their last kiss in his garden… in all those scenes TQ gives off a complete different vibe. But I don’t mind that at all, I very much enjoyed watching every version of TQ ❤️

Thank you for sharing all these details! It’s incredible how Tong Hua and Chen Yue Jin incorporated so many details in the show/spent so much attention to detail. I love how Filter combines all the different elements and genres so effortlessly and on top of it is so insanely romantic ❤️

Filter was so wonderful and I very much enjoyed the journey! But now I would really love to see TJC in a completely different role again, something serious and a bit dark, a historical drama would be wonderful! Imo the problem is, XL role and TJC‘s own portrayal of XL set the bar so high, not only for us viewers, but also for himself. How can he do anything „lesser“ than XL? But a high quality script with such an outstanding character will be very hard to find.
