Actually, the series was filmed after the 3 months of military service. That's why he had the buzz cut already and he had to wear a wig. If you look closely, in the series you can also see the scar on his arm, that he got through the training. Daou is enlisted for 2 years, until November 2024. He will probably go to the border soon for a while, as far as I know.
Every month he has some days off for his other job, studying for university and private stuff.
