Unfortunately, for me this series missed its mark 😑 The first two episodes were going into the right direction...but somewhere they seemed to have lost their train of thought. It was more focused on the romantic side of the story instead of the funny and courageous side of the story. I had sooo high hopes...especially with this amazing cast. Don't get me wrong, the cast was 100% perfect in their acting, but as I said...they missed the story completely. They should have called it "Jeong Suk's Second Chance at Love", because it was more about her relationship with Do Hyeon than the actual business 😒 in the end they tried to get back on track, but that was too late...
He deserves to be the MC in a Series. Loved him next to Son Hwa Ryung in "Love is for Suckers" - they had far too less scenes! Loved them soooo much ❤️
The original Chinese show has more than 16 episodes and that is when it was banned before it can even complete…
True. I enjoyed both chinese versions. I'm very sad that Stay with me isn't going to be continued 😭 and that Addicted was banned. As Thailand doesn't have these kinds of restrictions, I had high hopes.... There are two countries left to redo this story. To be honest, Japan would do great to redo this. They already did great with many Mangas, where they actually followed the original plot. So maybe they could pick up Addicted Part 1 AND 2 🤔 ? LET'S HOPE!
If I hadn't read some comments, I would've have guessed that Mac is underage and has such a "large" age difference with August.
I have to say, I really enjoyed the books. And would have loved an adaption that would honor those books. That also means, someone who is underage definitely is not the right choice to play the role. Nothing against Mac and his acting... but since it's a more dark and complex love story with so many hurdles, the actor should have been at least 18/19.
Now to this adaption. At first, I was giving it the benefit of the doubt, but with Eps. 6 (have to agree with many comments here) it feels rushed, incoherent and messy. Either they edited the footage wrong or they were just lazy.
I'm sad to say that this series, as of now, would only get ⭐️⭐️ from me - one star for each main cast. And I was looking forward to it, because Thailand doesn't have the same ban as China. Soooo disappointing 😞
Sadly, I doubt the last four episodes will save this show.

I agree 100% - I like KPop and Shinee. However, I actually started watching because of JJH and KJH - they are amazing actors. I only realized that Min Ho was in it, while watching 😆

You really should... There are some series, you would never think are so sad. But many series made the years 2000-2010 (about) are very sad...but highly recommendable.

Let's start with the obvious - Dora's mom: she isn't any better than any pimp out there. Worse - she is selling her daughter and has the audacity to go to Dora after she came back and pick up there where she left off when Dira tried to kill herself. She is the reason for Dora's suicide attempt. DJ did the right thing to cut her off - only wise decision made by any character!
Now to the second character that hits all the wrong buttons - So Geum Ja! She lives for free in her DIL Father's home. Then she goes ahead and always gives PS hell about not being a blood relative, but when he's successful or can be used for money, he is good enough! She gets the money plus intrest, that should belong to the DIL, but never tells her. She uses ppl for money, bit judges others that do that, too.
Jin Dan is the typical poor rich boy! He has such a huge complex for being the illegitimate son. And he can't take no for answer because of that. He always thinks it's because he is just the son of the mistress...he doesn't realize he is just an a*s! Wait till he finds out he is a cuckoo!
Sadly I have to add Dora's older brother DS - his loyalty to his mother is unhealthy... he needs to let go and be with his siblings and GF.
The other characters have some flaws, too...but these are the ones that need a reality check - a HUGE ONE!
