He is very very powerful (even more powerful than the Heavenly emperor and empress) but doesn't have a high IQ and EQ... Sure he is known as God of War but his IQ is limited to that only... He and Run Yu were never close to each other... And he never fought for throne because he already knows that he will be the king of heaven... He could never accept the fact that Jin Mi thought him as a friend and he kept on saying himself that she loves him... Luckily Jin Mi guided him back to kindness... So now I have love-hate feelings for Run Yu....

But she slowly matured after learning many things and experiencing things... Regarding her killing XF... It was also never her fault... When RY saw his mother die in front of his eyes, he became revengeful... Same goes for JM too... When she saw her only family, her father and step mother, disappear in air she also became revengeful... Added up the guilt, because she thought that if her father wouldn't have used half of his cultivation to make an ice dagger for her, he and his wife would have survived... So she indirectly became the reason for their death... She also tried to find all the evidence but unfortunately the proper evidence were hidden by RY and what she got were false evidence (which she didn't knew at that time)... She was also already getting manipulated by RY... XF was also not showing that much interest... She was also very angry that XF want her to forgive his mother, who literally killed her mother, her best friend Rou Rou and also tried to kill her... Even RY knows that JM thinks of him as her friend and nothing else... On that night she literally had a mate pull with XF, he also manipulated her a bit and she gave in to the mate pull... So it can't be considered as cheating....
