I would like to give props to Boy Sompod. Not only did this man beat cancer, but he is the king of making OST for all things BL since 2016. I can instantly recognize his voice when he starts singing and he never misses when it comes to making the mood of a scene.

the uncut version is WAYYY better than the other version, in terms of how they edited the scenes (gives a flashback to Day's and the hairdresser lady's relationship BEFORE we see her in the present time, and allows us to see how serious his condition is), the music (add in more music in places where it was just quieter and it feels right in this version), they handle the comedic elements better and makes it fit in a darker tone, and what they deiced to include: Kim voicing his internal struggle of trying to understand how he could change so much in just 3 years and voices it to the only person he thinks he can trust at the moment. Plus, Komol, sharing fatherly advice and reassuring Day that he did, in fact, love Itt so much that day decided to change his life around, showing that Day isn't just an A-hole and honestly helps us understand why he was allowing Itt to help him more in the hospital. HECK even the lighting is so much better (i compared them side to side and the uncut has a darker tone, I'm actually shocked at how bright the cut version is, i feel like they just edited the brightness level to 100%). You are able to relate to the characters more because they actually flesh out their background deeper. this version is easier to digest and flows way better it's easier for someone who hasn't seen the show to digest. I am so upset they didn't air this version, this show probably would have gotten more type if it did

To simplify it, what you are getting in the uncut:
-Much more music (gives a sentimental vibe compared to the upbeat unlicenced music )
-Longer dialogue
-------which allows the characters to actually say what they are thinking and meaning
-------Allows to sympathize with Day
--------which intern shows how deep the relationship between the characters is (not just the two leads)
-Better tones in terms of lighting
-Better intro
-Flashbacks
-Longer scenes
--------The transitions between scenes is more seamless and appear less choppy
--------Allows those who haven't read the book to understand the background of the characters better
-Better delivery of comedic lines
- The acting is still choppy but flows better
------I know a lot of people were not enjoying frank's acting (its better in this one)

im glad im not the only one with thiughts that it wasnt 10/10. it judt felt incomplete to me. i love the love between the two mains but there was two too many plotholes/ unanswered situations for me to look over and forget.

i am so upset that this was my first idoal competition show. It literally set my expectations so high and NO OTHER competition show has reached the bar yet. Im over here watching boys planets (which is okay ish) and boys fantasy (which is a shiz show). and didn't realize how much i took Chuang for granted 😭. and there is NO SUCH THING AS EVIL EDIT in Chuang. I had a rude awakening when i couldn't believe everything i saw on other competition shows. Im rewatching chuang cause its my safe space lol

They (producers) make this show a toxic environment. Not to compare but seeing the difference in Chuang 2021 and BP the show and its people made an effort to make a warm, welcoming, AND competitive environment for their contestants (opening their arms to foreign contestants). but this show just made it competitive and toxic the contestants see each other as just rivals stead of rivals and friends. They don't invite the contestants to work together as a team and instead encourage laughing at other contestants' failures.

When the judges criticize, they don't criticize the contestants as INDIVIDUALS, but they criticize them based on other contestants' performances. The judges based their first rankings on emotions (ie that 14yr old boy who only trained for a month), I don't even doubt that the producers would allow the contestants to sabotage others at the expense of the team. Also, they said 5 CONTESTANTS would push through from 3rd round. but in the end, they came with 8. I could just tell on her face that that lady was pressured into picking someone she didn't link deserved it.

YAYA . I love Yacht, but even I can tell that if it wasn't for his fame, he would have been kicked off the show. (and I VOTED for him, a sis just didn't know how bad he was) I also agree with a previous comment stating how the global voting was unfair, we didn't get to learn or know the other contestants before the voting ended, so we just picked who we knew and who looked the pretties. The one good thing I see out of this so far is Jeon So-yeon very correct and so right for giving (SOME) the contestants harsh criticism. They definitely need it (except that poor 14 yr old that they ALL put into 1st class when they KNEW he didn't deserve it/wasn't ready for it, then get disappointed. He isn't a prodigy).

ALSO to say they are disrespecting those contestants' personal space is an understatement. I feel naked just looking at that open space hellhole they call a dorm room. THEY EVEN HAVE MIRRORS SOWE CAN SEE ALL ALNGES. And don't get me started on the choppiness of the way they are editing and airing the show. they have contests out of order, moving the number of people in a certain class up and down (at one point class 1 had 5 ppl, then in another shot, it had like 3 ppl, THEN another it had like 10), also having them reacting to performances that they themselves are performing (like how are you going to have someone in two places). cutting out MOST of the contestants for the airing so we only know the 5 that they like.

At least give us SOME diversity so we can at least pretend to not know who is going to make it in the next round. THE ONNLLY reason i am staying in the insanity is Santa, and some of the contestants are rubbing up on me/ like K-soul (i swear he is the nicest person, but also feel this dude is a wolf in sheep's clothing. I am intrigued)

I am so so so upset I watched Chuang 2021 as my very first idol completion show, as it set the bar WAYYY too high for me, my expectations are never met and am always disappointed. and now every other show cant compare for me. okay rant over. see yall next week lol

i haven't watched his new drama yet. but as a drama watch er you should ALWAYS know not to compare dramas of an actor/actress you like as you will be disappointed. I truly enjoy this drama and it hurts me to see people not like it cause they are comparing it to something else. this is a drama in its own league and shouldn't be compared to enjoy. I enjoy it by itself and see how your opinion might change. (the female lead is an amazing actress and did her job well if you don't like her character in the first few eps. )

im honestly not sure. but im so sorry thatv you paid viki. I usedto be a huge viki fan, but then drama fever closed forever and with the new influx of drama watchers and no competitions, they turned to the worse. Which is why ill never suport them again

So after bouncing back and forth through three different sites to watch the whole video (it should be 2 hours and 2 mins long and the subtitles sucked a bit) I was pleasantly surprised by the about of good talent. but I also was surprised by the amount of times I had to mute, pause and skip (then go back to rewatch) certain performances cause they were that bad. The Kurt look-alike got me laughing and cringing so hard. Others were so amazing my boots were shaking. So far I truly see this as a side dish of BP. As someone else said, a pallet cleanser after an ep of BP.

im rewatching this show, and i didn't realize how fucking stupid the main girl is. this seriously was a top teir show for me. Li is stupid, JingKe is pathetic, Zheng is abusive, the queen is manipulative and Zhao Gao's death needs to come sooner. Literally the only two pure and good people in this show is Han Shen, and Ge Lan. WTF. i dont even want to finish rewatching this show. its makeing me want to pull my hair our

SHAME ON ME for not trusting the writers of this story, for thinking they would abandon all that made this story well. Now I'm going back to the previous ep and rewatching all that I skimmed through, understanding that Yingluo's younger twin knew EXACTLY what she was doing. I love it. I am saddened that others will not appreciate this story as I have. This is exactly the send-off I was looking for for an amazing story. I am so proud of Ying Luo and all that she has done. and it seems another fallen love story has happened. Another Fuca missing his chance and another Luo taking what she deserves.

I love how the writer made this sub story its own, I only wish it was longer, 6 ep did not satisfy my aching heart.

EDIT: I would also like to say as Ying Luo's daughter Zhao Hua's behavior in the show is warranted. Imagine having your mother be the only person the king bends every rule for, Everyone fears your mom, the king's favorite child, and was raised/grew up with the empress dower by your side. Of course, you're going to be spoiled and think you're untouchable.

dont quote me on this, but to the best of my knowledge they either already aired it in small theater in Thailand or they canceled the whole project. but its been such a long time since they promoted it, that in my mind both situations happened.
