Left this on hold at episode 4 back in 2018 and started watching it again last week and I’m honestly addicted!!…
Omg I did the same! When I first tried watching it, I couldn't get into it! But I watched it again a few months later, and it became one of my favorite dramas!
Just dropping by once more to say that the audio drama is an amazing adaptation as well! It is almost exactly like the novel, not censored or anything! And the voice actors for the main leads are the same in the audio drama as the live action, so it feels like I am actually watching the drama itself with the uncensored scenes! <3 I recommend everyone to check out the audio drama! The translation for it isn't completely finished yet but everyone should check it out! Edit: Whoops my bad! Only the VA for Wei Ying is the same as the VA in the live action! <3
Since AmylovesDramas asked people, who wanted to have more BL, to give this drama a try, I would like also ask…
YES! I agree <3 I originally watched this drama with no expectations and knowing NOTHING about the drama, not even the plot XD And I ended up really enjoying it nevertheless and even moved on to reading the novel afterwards :')
I hadda come off this thing like drugs...it worked for all of TWO DAYS!! I'm BACK on MDL cuz i'm having withdrawls.…
I've been obsessed with this for a bit over a week now! I'm STILL not over it! I'm back to re-reading the novel XD I've seen the episodes of the drama SO many times now XD I started the audio drama as well!
I totally agree, I can't imagine anyone who is hesitant, and at least gives it a chance, will regret it at all.…
Yes! The leads have amazing chemistry! They really did justice to the characters! The love between WWX and LZ is evident even with all the censorship! I was definitely satisfied <3
So Wei Wu Xian can’t use his sword to fight anymore because he gave his golden core to Jiang Cheng, and now…
Sadly, they won't find out that he can't use his sword until later! They don't find out until 16 years later after his "death" and him coming back! It was a very emotional scene when they found out what sacrifices he made for Jiang Cheng!
If you are hesistant to watch this because you want it to be more BL than it is, PLEASE give it a try anyways! I originally watched this with a mindset that there will NOT be much BL due to the censorship, and I really really enjoyed it. This is now one of my favorite dramas of all time, if not my favorite. This drama has more than just the bromance between the leads. The story is ABSOLUTELY amazing. The plot, the characters, the setting of the world they are living in, the soundtrack, the relationship between the leads... all simply phenonmenal! This is a gem! And even though they take out all the skinship scenes between the leads, you can still feel their love, I promise. The way that they look at each other and the things that they do for one another, especially how much Lan Zhan sacrified in order to protect Wei Ying... I promise you still feel their strong connection/relationship even without a blatant love confession or skinship scenes! You will not regret watching this <3
Okay so I’m in like episode 25 or so and I’m a bit confused. What’s with wei wu xian and this whole flute…
So Wei Wu Xian can’t use his sword to fight anymore because he gave his golden core to Jiang Cheng, and now he lacks spiritual power to do sword fighting. So his new way of protecting himself is using the flute and doing certain crafty tricks which other people see as dangerous. Lan Wangji is worried that Wei Wu Xian might lose control and not be able to control himself and that evil might take over sometime if he messes up. That’s why he gets known later as the “Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation.” His new ways are considered “demonic.” But he has no choice, because that was what he learned the past 3 months he was gone in order to protect himself since he can’t use his sword to fight anymore.
Guys, all I have to say will be nothing new as you’ve all already say it. But I must say it again since it’ll…
I agree 100%! It is SO hard for me to move on right now. I've literally rewatched the drama SO many times now! I've read the novel over and over again as well. Post series depression is coming :(
The rating on Douban for this drama is a 7.9 which is freaking amazing! Most dramas on there can barely reach 7.0. Maybe the rating can jump up to 8.0 sometime in the future soon? XD So happy for the success of this drama!
You should try giving The Untamed a chance later! It gets really good later on :')
hahah i've been WAY to obsessed with this series! trying to find ways to get over it sooner XD

So happy for the success of this drama!
