I know they’re trying to get me to like GL but he’s unbearable. I can’t tell if it’s the acting or the character but it’s off-putting. He’s not a big likable oaf. He’s just annoying to me. I hope his character improves later. Right now, the biggest saving grace is Gu Yiye. I probably would have dropped a long time ago with just GL.

Idk where anyone is getting other dates but the producer or director (don’t remember which) said that they were aiming for a summer slot.

I’m currently on episode 1 and I’m in love with Gu Yiye. He’s so handsome. And Xiao Zhan’s portrayal of the character is the best in the drama. I’m gonna go binge watch on IQiyi. I highly recommend. 😁

AGAIN. Since people want to spread rumors about the cast. HUNAN is the one that’s in deep shit. They’re under INTENSE scrutiny by the government under this clean campaign. The drama will either air by this year or Hunan will lose the tv broadcasting license and the other TV networks will buy TOOL, like they’ve been wanting to do since last year. It’s obvious that HUNAN is the problem. Not the drama and certainly NOT the lead actors.

Not true. Tencent has been trying to get his drama to air since 2020. Everything was set for September 8th. Unfortunately, the c-ent clean up came out of nowhere. I believe it will air once everything has settled down.

I disagree. The rules are permanent but they are only recently being implemented and are still undergoing changes. And Hunan is being investigated heavily bc of their variety shows. It’s NOT a good time for The Oath of Love to broadcast. And in terms of promo, every romantic drama gets to be promoted by its leads. Why should TOOL be any different? Just because it’s popular already is a poor excuse.

I’m reading some of these comments and, do y’all honestly believe that right now is a good time for The Oath of Love to air? When the artists aren’t even allowed to promote their works? When getting on the hot search can be a double edged sword? The Oath of Love deserves to air at a time where there’s not a huge entertainment clean up. No one expected this clean up campaign to occur. It took c-ent by surprise. So despite my initial disappointment, I’m glad it’s getting postponed. Hopefully when it airs, c-ent will be more stable and we can enjoy this drama without worry. Keep your heads up, everyone!
