Finally episode 13 - it really is the best one so far...even I don't want to reveal any spoilers that may ruin it for others. You just have to watch it! And that last scene with So...aww :'( episode 13 really made up for episode 12's bad editing. This one was well directed/edited, even the music was on point for me so I'm quite satisfied with how things turned out. Can't wait for next week! My long awaited ship is finally sailing! <3
Hang on...I'm confused I thought everyone's been saying that historically he married his half sister (Wook's sister that is)? Because she became Queen though right?
Ahh show how could you hurt our two puppies? When they hurt, I feel their hurt too </3 seriously, I loved that ending and cliffhanger! Can't wait for next week ❤
Definitely Wang So team !!!!!
I can also replace Hae So if she doesn't want him :D
Yay! Wang So is so lovable that it makes me wonder why everyone hates him so much....come on, the guy is loyal to the core and has a soft heart to those he cares. He just wants to be accepted and loved back!
4th Prince just wanted to be loved. Why is it so hard? *sigh* Wae?? Why is my freaking ship so hard to sail???!…
I'm going to give myself the same advice that I did for Reply 1988 - in that the good things shall come if we wait and it will be worth it ;) with R88 I felt like my ship wasn't sailing until near the end, if it's the same here....they better make it worth the wait haha :P
Oh my gosh, so much feels in episode 13! It was heartbreaking especially when the CP got his heart broken at the…
These two are the highlights of my week! In my fan girl heart, I hope Junki and Bogummy work on a project together in the future (like a bromance drama or something similar). Would love these two together. In real life, they both have such playful/cute personalities <3
Wow a year has passed! 1. The king pisses me off but whatever we all know he's gonna die 2. Yes only like…
I perfectly agree with you here. Wook is jerk in the modern sense and it seems like Hae Soo has a tendency to fall for jerks like she did in (past) future. Her old bf was the same and you'd think it'll be different in Goryeo...she needs to wake up and see that Wang So is the better man for her. One who can fully protect her regardless of whether she loves him or not. He won't give up on her because like Baek Ah, she's his person so he won't ever turn his back in her. From what we've seen so far, Wang So has a soft heart and he's very loyal....even to his despicable mother.
This is going to be one of the many other long comments that I have left on the comment section of this drama!…
Ahh chingu please don't say that about Baek Ah! :( I don't want to believe that he would not survive from that stab, it would be so heartbreaking otherwise </3 like you I haven't watched the Chinese version yet but I did spoil myself to its plot summary. I'm fine if they stick to the Chinese as long as they don't follow the same ending!!
I'm with you on watching both Moon dramas simultaneously too. They both have their unique charms and I love both too. Moonlight is makes me feel more, whereas Moonlovers has the suspense that keeps you coming back. These days I find it hard to choose which drama to watch first on my Mondays/Tuesdays, so I alternate between the two each week lol
As for the scene between Wook and Hae Soo, I felt frustrated too but I interpreted the scene differently (see my take on it in the comment above yours). I saw it more of a closure for her rather than her still pining for him.

With the two Moons, haha yep I totally agree with you - they're both good in their own way. Which is why I try not to objectively compare them (although at times I can't help it). I simply love them both since they both have my biases - Junki and Bogummy xD
Just finished episode 12, I felt like in terms of editing episode 11 was way better. I always watch the international version so it gets confusing when it cuts to certain scenes that are unexplained previously (like the scene with WH and Baek Ah, suddenly they grew so close? I didn't feel the chemistry there at all)....anyway besides that, I love the progression in this episode. We get to see Hae Soo having closure with Wook (the "I miss you" scene). Even if I felt annoyed that she hasn't moved on after 1 year, I guess the first time was a betrayal to her (episode 11) and not being able to speak to Wook for an entire year I'm pretty she never fully got her closure. It was nice to see that here - when she asked Wook if he missed her, it was more of her trying to confirm that what she felt was real and not a delusion. You can see on her face that she no longer loves him now. Her face is different with Wang So when they met up again. Even before she left the palace and was told to not meet any of the princes, the only person she went to to say goodbye was Wang So....that speaks volumes of her heart (even if her brain can't accept it at the time). Though this time around, I'm actually quite annoyed at her indecision - at first she rejected WS because she didn't want him to be king and kill his brothers, and now it's because she wants him to fulfill his destiny and be king?? that's why she rejected him - it's noble idiocy which confuses me. I don't get Hae Soo at times lol.
I also want to note that at Wang So's proposal scene offering HS her freedom at the cost of his, it's such a selfless thing for him to do. You can also see that she didnt reject him with the usual "I can't because we're just friends" but rather "I can't leave the palace to marry you". You can tell she was really about to take him up on that offer but in the end she doesn't want to interfere with fate. If she leaves the palace, he leaves with her too and won't be able to take the throne. These are just my thoughts, can't wait to see next episode <3
I don't think I can recall a drama where I love the second leads as much as I do here, particularly Ha Yeon. She's so pure and good at heart that it's so refreshing from the usual scheming 2nd female lead, so it's great to see. Same goes for Yoon Sung, you just want to root for their happiness and constantly worry that something bad may happen to them! I hope they stay good all the way to the end. Both characters are so endearing and I felt like they're not given as much attention from viewers as opposed to our awesome OTP, so yeah I'm writing this comment to dedicate some attention to them XD
On another note, this drama is just perfection down the smallest details. It always makes me feel so much with each episode ❤

The execution of that ending scene when the CP discovers the truth was so good! From the pauses, to the muffled sounds, close-ups, to the background music... everything was done so well to amplify his shock. I seriously love this drama a lot! I feel for the CP so much that when he's hurt I feel hurt too :( also down the second leads, I love them both so much - they're so refreshing and different to the usual scheming 2nd leads. Particularly the female second lead - she's so pure and good at heart that you just feel sorry for her and want to root for happiness too (same with Yoon Sung!). I can seriously lost so many reasons why I love this drama ❤
P.s. haha see you there too xD I actually don't want to compare the two Moon dramas but Moonlovers editing/execution doesn't compare to this one. Episode 11 was best because of the editing/execution of scenes but now in episode 12, it went back to confusing scene cuts/editing/directing. Not that I don't like the drama, absolutely loved it too despite its flaws and for Wang So ❤
That kiss was so beautiful, simple not passionate, but with such much meanings He was happy to see her love for…
I agree, it's beautiful and tugs at the heart strings...I felt really sad about the kiss too. For CP, he's so happy that RO is showing/giving him all this love but for RO it's a goodbye kiss :'( that ending, my heart broke for the CP and seeing him cry in the preview just broke my heart even further! The shock and betrayal he must have felt must be 10x worse because RO broke her promise to him (by leaving him) and that she may have been a spy keeping close tabs on him all along. Last week was CP finding out that Kim Hyung may have betrayed him (that look on his face when he got slashed...oof), this episode was 10x worse for him because he'd given his heart to RO.
Can someone please tell me Kim Byung Yeon's role? I mean, why is he wearing a mask, and who does he works…
iirc, Byung Yeon's father was unjustly blamed for feeding the rebels. His father's reason was just feeding the poor because he has the means to. Basically he's just helping the poor but got unfairly blamed for feeding rebels/being a part of the rebellion. That's why BY is now part of the rebellion group because of his father's unjust death.
