I don't dislike WJY , her acting is not bad either--..i like her, but still annoying with the looks.. Some actresses or actors can be look younger than their age, Zhao LiYing for example..When she play with YiBo in Legend of Fei, She doesn't look too old for him although the chemistry is a bit off ..I admit it since I know the real age is very different..

But i am just thinking..Peng Xiao Ran could be good too as I saw her in Jun Jiu Ling when she acts well & smart and not annoying .. The character is almost the same here... Peng Xiao Ran is also 31, but she looks younger in the costume drama like in Jun Jiu Ling.
Well..some actors maybe looks older when they are in costume drama :D

Yeah..she looks more fresh and younger in modern drama than in costume.
In the story, the FL met the Grand drandson ( Xu Kai) when she was younger ..she was younger than Xu Kai ( Episode 5)..it's like maybe 5-6 years different..That's why I dare to say that that she looks too old for him as she should be younger 5-6 years than him.

I love the ending..it's like the king asking the hand of Jing Yao. I hope for Season 2...but idk if iQIYI will make it..i keep asking IQIYI to make Season 2 though.

This drama is about a young lady who enter the palace as the cook..as you can see when you enter the palace first time . they must be on certain age. I just watched teh 1-3 episode, and we can see the other contestant are also young ladies. Maybe if the make up artist who did her better, she will look younger.

Well..i said , she looks too old for him..not too old for him..her face looks like a mother instead of a young chef..the real age isn't matter as long as she looks the right age in her role. The funny is, she looks younger in modern drama. I guess she looks better in modern drama. She also met him when she was still much younger than him ( episode 5)..That's why i said that her looks doesn't really fit in here cos she looks older than him. She should look younger than him.

I wish it's a happy ending..i start watching it now ..I am also a chef ..that's why i love drama about food. Still waiting for Dine With Love to be completed.

I've watched her in Something just like this & My Bargain Queen..and I like her there.. it's just this character, I think she looks too old to play this character.

2 more episodes to find out the ending..if it's sad, tragic, bittersweet or open ending..sorry Xu Kai..I pass this...I will try to bear watching it although not really think the female lead actress is fit here...She looks too old for him and playing that character..

Update: As i have started watching..and just reach episode 5 where the FL remember their first meeting , it's shown that Xu Kai visited her village with his grandpa..and he was already like teenager adult..maybe 17-18 years old..while she was still like 12 years old.
This is why i said she looks to old for teh role because the FL should look younger than the ML.

You should try to watch Legend of Lord of Heaven, It's low budget though..but it's Lu Xue Yi. He is back as Heaven Emperor and then he met the girl he loved when he was in mortal world and tehy together there in heaven. That's the ending I love.

I was hoping before that the girl then died bit the heaven emperor make her become an immortal and become teh Goddes of Marriage and he is back as God Bo Yan.

ah..that's boring.. Always like that..I hate the girl who demand so many from teh man..I think that they have to accept each others plus and minus if they love each others. Better not watching that episodes. Legend of Lord of Heaven still better ending.
