I’m on Ep. 12, and about Kaem’s relationship with Korn feels like it's just there for drama's sake and doesn’t really add much. The whole Kaem-her father-Korn thing seems forced and unnecessary. I think the show could’ve focused more on the main plot without adding this storyline. The pacing could’ve been so much better.
Not everything is everyone's cup of tea. But I think some people are intentionally giving poor ratings.
Of course, some people just give low ratings to be negative. It’s a remake of Nevertheless, which could be a turn-off for some reviewers. Another reason might be that fans of the Korean version’s ML and/or FL aren’t too happy, so they obviously don’t want the Japanese version getting good ratings.

It is not that people don't like flawed characters. It's just that sometimes the execution of it is terrible,…
You can call it whatever you want, it's all pretty subjective. But what you're asking for is kind of censorship.
Art’s not just about self-expression, it’s also about creativity. Characters with flaws are what make stories feel real and relatable. It's totally fair to have your own opinions on what's acceptable, but when we start censoring that, we’re taking away the artist’s freedom to tell the story how they want.
Not every flaw needs to be “justified” or fixed, and while you might not be into how a character is portrayed, censoring it just limits creativity.

You can't really criticize art for having flawed characters, that's kind of the point; flaws are romanticized. Plus, not everyone watches a drama to learn life lessons or see character growth. And honestly, cruelty is just a part of reality for some people.
On top of the boring storyline, the terrible acting from both FL and ML is just the cherry on top. The comedy isn't even funny, and the romance isn't even romantic. I get a headache just thinking about having to finish this series.
