I've actually watched and read so many series, anime, manga, manhwa of this genre that this series felt a bit mid to me. Ngl I enjoyed it but all the twists and turns were predictable. Even the ending too. The character traits are so generic and stereotypical. One main girl, her crush, another girl who also loves that guy, a girl gang, 1 nerd, 1 fat guy who can't stop eating, 2 couples, 3 bullies, 2 bullied, 1 who gets ignored, a basketball team and 5-6 NPCs. And they as usual took wrong steps instead of calming tf down and discussing with everyone lol. Average highschool kids.

Not americanised more like Europeanized. And the Chinese version dropped the cultural revolution part because of political reasons but Netflix showed it. And as expected from GOT directors they established the characters well. Other than these factors I agree Chinese version was better and faithful to the original novel and the ending part too.
