I haven't watched the one with James Ma but have read the comments in MDL. Watched this in YT. It was an okay drama and I saw it and only forwarded towards the end (skipping scenes which didn't have the ML or FL).
According to me the FL in this version wasn't over the top like other dramas though she kept insulting the ML as "installment husband " , I understood she said that before when she didn't understand him and then later when she felt insecure (seeing her husband's indecisiveness towards Somika). She was a strong character who appeared stubborn to most but was very clear why she wanted a divorce. She didn't want Somika's constant appearance in her married life/ home/ around the ML. She was protesting her husband's "very good nature " which made him so weak in front of Somika and never said anything in a way that made Somika understand she can't keep following him around. When Somika occupied his home, instead of throwing her out he only leaves his house and stays at his friend's home. The ML continues to treat Somika harassing the FL with evasiveness even when the FL is pregnant which makes the FL feel he won't be able to stop Somika getting involved in her child's life later. Though I am for people being treated and respected well, especially women, overall I was also frustrated with his behavior towards Somika and wantedto talk some sense into him.
