On Marry My Husband: Japan Nov 16, 2025
I was obsessed with it up until episode eight — I honestly thought it might end up being the best Japanese drama I’ve ever watched. But the last two episodes felt weirdly rushed. Until episode eight, it was this psychological, romantic, slightly thriller-ish story that played a lot with the butterfly effect, but then the ending suddenly stopped making sense. Everyone started blaming the main character for their own problems, and that really bothered me. I wanted them to realize they were responsible for their own mess. The ending could’ve been way more dramatic and interesting.

I liked the female lead a lot… as long as she wasn’t crying. Her crying scenes didn’t really work for me. Takeru Satoh , though, was amazing as always.

Oh my God, the last episode was absolutely epic.
Takeru Satōh’s character honestly broke my heart — he’d been hurt by his closest friend, had a messed-up relationship with his brother, and carried so much pain on his own. But thanks to this group and everything they went through together, he finally found some peace, and I’m really glad he did.
About the story… I kinda wish they’d revealed their past earlier. One thing that always gets me uncomfortable with Japanese dramas is that they save the main emotional reveal for the very end, and it makes it harder for me as a viewer to fully connect with the characters while watching. I want to feel with them earlier, not all at once at the end.
But overall, the drama was super well-made. The production was great, the group dynamic was amazing, their bond felt really genuine, and the little romance was cute — I actually enjoyed it a lot.

On Ao Haru Ride Season 2 Nov 11, 2025
It’s a sweet drama with amazing chemistry between the leads, but the story itself is pretty average.
I’m honestly glad that after ten episodes (eight in season one and two in this one), the main girl finally decided to open her heart to someone else. Like they say — you don’t realize the value of something until you lose it.
I don’t really get why people think her relationship with the second male lead was wrong. To me, it actually made sense. The main guy ignored her for ten episodes, assuming she’d always be there waiting for him. And it’s not like they were even officially together, so she wasn’t betraying anyone.
Overall, I didn’t love the plot, but I did love the cast especially fl, their chemistry, and the warm, easygoing atmosphere. If you’re in the mood for a lighthearted series you can just sit back and enjoy without overthinking — this one’s a good choice.

I really liked it, especially the female lead and their chemistry
But honestly, being in a relationship with a guy like that would drive anyone crazy. He literally treats his cat better than his love.
The first time he didn't come, it was because of family problems — fine, understandable. But from what I’ve seen so far (I’ve only finished season one), the second time he ignored her for no understandable reason.
A person like that can be so emotionally exhausting in a relationship — the kind who pushes you away one moment and pulls you back the next, slowly messing with your peace of mind.

I honestly think if this movie were remade today, it could turn out better.
To be honest, I enjoyed the second half way more — some of the acting felt a bit off, but overall it still worked
I just couldn’t understand the female lead at all! I don’t understand why her character was written that way. The male lead, on the other hand, felt much more grounded and well-developed.
Maybe if the story had ended on a sad note, it would’ve been more memorable.

I’m an artist myself — I paint and do creative work. Honestly, I thought this movie would be a bit boring at first, but I completely connected with it. I just wish I’d seen it sooner. I studied something unrelated to art in college, but it didn’t lead anywhere, and now painting has become my whole life. If someone had guided or encouraged me back then, I probably would’ve chosen art and maybe my life would’ve turned out very differently.
I really liked both main characters.
If you have an artistic soul, this film will definitely resonate with you.

⚠️ Spoiler Alert ⚠️

What I liked about this movie :
Their friendship felt so genuine. The scene where everyone told Kakeru he didn’t have to carry the burden alone — and he finally let go — was so powerful, like a weight had truly been lifted off his shoulders. I think Kakeru’s character, with his family background and childhood trauma, was a broken soul. They’ll probably still face struggles, but what matters is that they gave him hope to live again. The film beautifully shows how important it is to pay more attention to the people around us.

What I didn’t like:
I couldn’t quite connect with the main female lead; she felt a bit too slow-paced. Once she realized everything written in the letter was coming true, she could’ve reacted faster or with more urgency. Honestly, Suwa had a stronger impact on the story than she did.
Also, regarding Kakeru’s family — his father’s abuse and his loneliness in Tokyo — I wish the movie had explained those parts earlier. It would’ve helped me understand his behavior and pain sooner.

it's 9/10 for me, i recommend it ❤️

I just finished it, and honestly, I still like the movie way more than this. I'm definitely looking forward to the next part though. I originally started it for Kento, but Ogata totally became my favorite character 😍❤️‍🔥. And after he teamed up with Sugimoto’s group, I really started enjoying their whole vibe together. But yeah… I still couldn’t get into the random, over-the-top comedy they kept throwing in.Every time it switched to that cringy comedy stuff, it was a total turn-off for me. Overall, I’d give it 7/10

I’ve watched up to episode five, and honestly, so far I liked the movie more. The movie was more exciting and had well-placed comedy, but the series feels like just a drama with annoying humor. I didn’t like episodes one and two at all, and I even thought about dropping it. Episodes three and four managed to bring back some of that earlier excitement, but episode five was off again, so mehh.... I don’t have a problem with mixing comedy into a series, but the kind of comedy they’re doing just isn’t funny. I also don’t get why the show keeps insisting on showing disgusting food in detail and zooming in on it—it just doesn’t make sense to me. anyway i continue it for kento

To be honest, I think the series started out great, but the closer I got to the end, the less interested I became. There was something off about the storytelling and script that made it hard to stay engaged. For example, in one episode they’d say a certain samurai had been killed and that they were sure to be attacked next — then in the following episode, that plot point was just forgotten and no attack ever happened. The reason behind the war never clicked for me as a viewer from the start.
On top of that, the English man is portrayed in a very positive light about his country, even though England was one of the greatest colonial empires in history... and What was the point of adding a romance subplot between him and a married woman on top of all that?
Still, the series was very well-made.
