Interested to see if this will have real kissing or just hugs or camera angles. Anyone know yet? I really liked the mains as the side pair in Meet You at the Blossom.
While I wasn't a huge fan of The Middleman's Love, I was absolutely living for thickboi Yim/Jade era and the body positivity/representation. I am both happy that he's healthy and kind of sad that he's slim again.
Did they ever address who was taunting and then threatening to sue Ob-Un over the phone in the first episode, and scratching his face out of the group photo in the second episode? I didn't catch it if they did.
There is a rumor about him getting a BL show in 2025 as a main with Pod Suphakorn Sriphothong. They've been posting…
Yeah unfortunately it ended up being a supporting role but here's to hoping for 2026! At this point, I'd take him as a main in a het or non-romance show.
Ppl who read the webtoon can y'all tell me who was the mysterious Sunbai/senior? Was he in the webtoon?
It appears that the Sunbae/senior was either Death or God. He gave Myungha another chance at life and happiness through the game when Myungha killed himself but regretted it at the last minute. I didn't read the webtoon though. I can't find it :(.
im confused with the last ep when he was wearing a suit and went into the house and introduced himself to a woman…
He was raised by his grandma because his mother abandoned him as a young child. Before he kills himself and gets reincarnated into the game, he goes to see his mother right after his grandmother dies. His mother denies that is her name. She lied about her identity to reject him and then ran off with her other child. One of the episodes showed her in the game as well, she ran the cute cafe that Yeowoon wanted to take him too on their amusement park date resulting in Myungha running out of the cafe.
Unpopular opinion: I liked this. The plot was not great, but the acting was decent. The actors had ridiculous chemistry. I loved that they portrayed a healthy couple with communication, and lots of intimacy without getting super graphic. Its not often you see a show with lots of kissing, random affectionate touching, cuddling in bed, and there was even a short discussion on who prefers which role in the bedroom. There was usually a scene per episode (after they got together) with heavy kissing and touching that clearly implied sex was incoming. It was the most healthy and realistically affectionate relationship that I've seen portrayed on screen with a queer couple. Too many shows either heavily fetishize the sexual aspect of queer relationships or ignore it altogether. This one walked the line of giving a lot without giving too much and I would love to see more of this. If the script/plot was better, this would've been amazing.
A genuine question is China relaxing the ban on LGBTQ content?
I don't think so. This show originally aired and was cancelled by Chinese censors after 4 episodes. The rights were bought by a Taiwanese company, I think, and all 12 were aired. Hoping the cast and crew are doing okay. Heard stories of previous casts and crew getting harassed for filming LGBT stuff. Its weird because Like Love/I Love You as a Man S1+S2 came out in 2014/2015 in China with real kissing in the cut versions. The uncut versions of both seasons are as explicit as KinnPorsche, if not more so. It took ages for China to catch that one and stop S3 (still salty about it tbh). You'd think they'd be a touch more lenient with more conservative shows like this, but they must've stepped up their censorship game in the last decade.
The entire show is basically 10 Things I Hate About You but with assassins. Not complaining at all because I love…
Aah, that makes sense! Remembered something vaguely about a book. Its been about 20yrs since I've been in high school/college and we didn't ever read it for English or Lit classes. Either way, I enjoy it :). May have to pick up a copy and give it a read!
LOOOOVE dunk so much in this he's so cute 😭 i think he suits this type of role better compared to his characters…
I'm really looking forward to Joong and Dunk in Dare You to Death because the roles are reversed. Dunk is the stoic detective and Joong is the crazy flirt. They're absolutely killing these roles and are already miles ahead talent wise from when they filmed Star In My Mind. I have a sneaking suspicion that they'll be even better next year and that this already fantastic performance will be blown out of the water.
"Is this worthy dying for?" had me cracking up so hard. Shameless shameless Style. hahahahaJoong & Dunk are nailing…
The entire show is basically 10 Things I Hate About You but with assassins. Not complaining at all because I love that movie and this show is awesome so far. First is Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Joong is Julia Stiles, and Dunk is Heath Ledger.
Nooooo... the fake Loyalty tattoo on Joke's chest just glossed its plastic gloss😬
Zero reason for shiny fake tattoos. That is one of my biggest pet peeves in these shows. Clear matte powder is too readily available to not be used. Though there is a good chance they put on tons and War could've sweat it off under the hot production lights during any retakes. Personally I like the arm/hand tattoos though. They're the most realistic of the bunch, if we stretch the definition of realistic. But definitely some of the better fake tattoos in Thai shows. If shiny fake tattoos bother you, beware of Kant's back tattoo in the NC scene in The Heart Killers.
